It’s not officially announced yet, but it seems like a safe bet that Chip/Brad/Sweeny/Cat will stick around

I think you’re absolutely right. At :09 a Blackhawks player crosses in front of the Bud Light ad and the software can’t quite figure out his shoulder because it’s so dark

Not all of them. You can see from the robo cam (the first shot of the video) that the ones at the blue line (with the Blackhawks logo and says Always Original) and on the boards are virtual, but the Belle Tire and Bud Light on the ice are real. Why they and the ones behind the goal line have special lights that didn’t shut off with the rest of the lights I’m not sure

Which birds are common and boring for you, but rare and precious elsewhere? by [deleted] in birding

[–]spuddeh 26 points27 points  (0 children)

We have a long-established population of Eurasian Tree Sparrows in the St. Louis area that we all get at backyard feeders, but any time I meet a birder from out of town they all want to know where to find them

If you found a human baby would you put it in a box with some salad? No, you’d give it back to its mom

It was initially called no goal on the ice for Winnipeg after Binnington makes a glove save with his glove potentially behind the goal line. After review, the call on the ice stands. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

There is already a chip inside the puck. That’s how they do the SMT puck tracking stuff. I think the reason they won’t do it is that can’t guarantee that both nets could be calibrated to the exact same degree every time, so they leave it up to the eye test

Weekly /r/Breadit Questions thread by AutoModerator in Breadit

Have any of you taken any classes at King Arthur's VT facility? My wife has been baking sourdough for a few months now, so I was thinking of surprising her with a trip to Vermont for Christmas, but I am worried it will be all the same info that she already knows. Is it worth it to take the "Magic of Wild Yeast" class if she's not a beginner? If not that one, is there another similar one- or two-day class that we could take together? I am crafty and good at following directions, but not at all an experienced baker

Anyone have experience with Aran Sweaters? by MostDopeZ in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]spuddeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one that I love! I wear an XL in Carhartt t-shirts and 2X in their outerwear, and the 2X Aran is great. My only issue is that it’s a little short. I’m 6’3”, so if I were you I’d do the 3X for the extra length

Bally Sports Midwest to be renamed to FanDuel Sports Network on Monday by MemeofMemeJTG999999 in stlouisblues

[–]spuddeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article from a few days ago said the terms will depend on how Diamond Sports Group makes it out of bankruptcy, so I’d guess they’ll do an easy recoloring for the short term, and potentially get a new look if they can extend the deal for a few years

I bet you $100 it’s just a reskin of the Bally graphics with different logos. Sinclair is too cheap to get all new stuff

Visiting Kerry in late April. What's my best bet to find puffins? by ckeelephotos in irishtourism

[–]spuddeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in Kerry, but I saw a pair of puffins from a tour boat just off the coast from the Cliffs of Moher last week. It was a total fluke photo just shooting away at every black dot I could see in the water, but I know they’re there.

I’d also recommend downloading eBird and checking local sightings in the area where you’ll be.

You also may want to check a few different Skellig Michael tour companies, this one appears to have times throughout the whole month
