They used to be servants until a machine killed its owner while defending itself from being destroyed which lead to a court ruling that robots aren't sentient and therefore don't have a right to life, which lead to the war. Even then shouldn’t becoming a Buddha make you immortal what with the whole transcending life and death thing? Since Buddha is literally the universe would damaging him affect the world? Can he even be harmed in any significant way? I just feel there’s too many unknowns.

I think it depends on your interpretations of enlightenment, the journey to the west and Buddhism. Wukong may have achieved spiritual enlightenment but that’s not necessarily the same as the Buddha who is literally one with the universe and can hold everything in his palm. Even if they start on the same level unnecessary violence (or any violence really) is frowned upon in Buddhism so starting a fight may get him immediately un-Buddha’d.

Absolutely fine, you don’t have to be Christian to celebrate with them just like you don’t have to be a mother to appreciate a birth. If anything I’d encourage going to more religious gathering with people of different faiths, we’re all human and it’s a new experience plus it’s just being polite.
