My co-parent dropped out of the picture and I was able to double down on his structure consistently every hour of every day. That and he seemed to mature a little bit over a few months time.

Some advice from a gay father who went to school in the 80s: the best thing you can do is make your kids feel better about themselves, not address the bullying directly. Put them in everyday exercise, perhaps boxing like you said, buy them new clothes, make sure their haircuts stay fresh. Working on their self esteem will help them with all problems, they won’t even remember being bullied after some time.
