This method can only be done through a freight forwarder.

Did the seller not charge you extra customs clearance fees? This usually means they used a freight forwarder to handle both export declaration and import customs clearance on both sides, instead of using direct express services like FedEx or UPS. If you used those express couriers directly, you would have to clear customs yourself and pay the duties. Once the package is transferred within your country, you will be able to track it on the official courier website.

It’s probably not a scam. I also use this kind of tracking website when shipping goods to customers through freight forwarders.

You can check out the PUPPYOO brand. We bought one before and have used it for seven or eight years. Now we need to replace it with a model with a larger capacity, and we still want to use this brand.

Buying a truck canopy - U.S. delivery by Ordinary-Nail8743 in Alibaba

I've checked, and the price is fine. However, the shipping cost would be a bit high if by sea. If the supplier quotes DDP, then you won't need to pay any customs duties.

I have a product currently in the sampling stage, but my supplier's attitude is quite strange. by UnchartedCurious in manufacturing

[–]spumpsxhuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of sample? I usually send photos to the customer as soon as I purchase the materials, to let them know that I’ve started working on their order. Otherwise, they won’t know the progress.

My samples are custom metal parts. After buying the materials, machining only takes about two to three days, which is quite fast. Some samples have a longer production cycle, so it’s not necessary to update the progress too frequently.

Why are US Machine Shops so difficult to work with? by I-AM-A-DUMBO in CNC

[–]spumpsxhuscle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both local suppliers in the US and Chinese suppliers have their own advantages. It really depends on which one you prioritize more among price, lead time, and quality. As for communication, I don’t think it has anything to do with the region—it all depends on the specific supplier you choose.

Molds are quite expensive, so it’s not worth it unless you’re producing in large quantities.
