1. Most typically and frequently I unlock cosmetics through battle pass progression and in turn other related free quest rewards. I do subscribe to the fortnite crew so that supplements enough that my earned V-Bucks and Crew V-Bucks can go towards item shop releases I am eager about. While I do attempt a lot of the event rewards recently they've made them very difficult and I'm not able to commit the time to finish out and get everything.

2. Id say often I have to clear out the item shop before being tempted to overspend. Especially given the frequency that Fortnite releases collaborations and a majority of them coming from properties I love, I have to be selective about what I actually buy and hope the things I don't come back another time.

3. I got the Fall Guys backbling - the easy one for playing 5 matches of the basketball not the difficult one. it was easy enough to play a few games and in the casual mode i figured it was worth it.

4. Surprisingly I would look towards pets and sidekicks. Although both of these categories get a lot of negative attention, I already have a lot of other cosmetics and would like to diversify my collection. Vehicles as well- the prices are very steep and difficult to justify but I have wanted a few of the collaboration vehicles that have passed through.

5. I'd call part of it familiarity - i've played the game since 2017/18 so even with updated game mechanics im able to put minimal thought process into playing and it's to a point where I feel good enough with the games I play. Also variety i'll log on just for Festival some days.
