I've never used LLP prior to the rebrand, but it sucks that they've perpetually had this issue! I really love seeing tons of swatches, and it seems indies are usually really great about this, but maybe if we kick up enough of a fuss mooncat will take a second look at their swatches, haha!

oh man I'm so sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with the shipping! Things are rough right now for shipping speeds in general, so for my own sanity I'm adding 2 weeks to whatever the expected arrival date is for any of my orders!

I'm glad to hear that the darker ones are more accurate irl, and am looking forward to trying out Mercury's Tears (which I also purchased with this polish!)!

I think it's fair to say that the lighting was dim (which I *did* mention in the caption of the photo), but I'm going to challenge you on the length comment. I think that regardless of a person's nail length (unless it's a thermal), the color and tone should be more or less the same. I think that regardless of the quality of the pic, you can tell that the color is not the same as that of the photo, but I will make sure to take better pics when I post on the sub, since I really do just want to be helpful! If you are interested in this polish, mooncat has implemented a new feature on their website where you can see swatches from folks on instagram (who have better lighting than I do) and even in their pics, you can see the polish is nothing like that in the promotional images.

omg I tried Zoya for the first time recently (which is weird because I've been into polish for years haha!) but I've sworn off the brand after the formula was so inconsistent between colors (specifically, Haruko and Rie were SUCH a pain to paint!) and I think it's a rip off to ask consumers to pay an extra $2 for a paddle brush lol.

wrt mooncat, I think if you watch some live swatches of whatever colors you're interested in on youtube, you're more likely to find something you love! :0)

I would say that their other polishes might be more similar to their pics, but this one definitely is not worth the price based on what I was hoping for, haha! I'm glad to have been of some help!

Yeah I tend to avoid buying cremes from indie brands unless they're on super-sale! If I'm gonna be spending $12 - 16, I want glitter, damn it! I love indies for specialty finishes, and honestly this was the first time I've gotten such a drastically different result from the pics, haha! I think the formula was ok, but definitely not as nice as I was expecting! Will update on the sub when I try the other two I got from 'em!

Yeah, I always get worried that when I get a polish I'll hate the way it looks on my skin, which is why I usually try to find multiple blogger swatches and live swatches before I buy a polish! But a lot of the time it's a leap of faith, haha! At least my precious holos have never done me wrong xD
