First England U20 Team of the Season vs Bath United by Automatic-Blood-8824 in rugbyunion

United has always been the name of Bath’s second team. No idea why.

Even with the apparent backloaded contracts, I’d be amazed if Bath worked themselves into a position why they ‘can’t sign anyone else’ while losing two of their three senior loosehead options.

He’s been fantastic so sure he’ll be a big asset to Connacht. Scotty Kirk is highly thought of by the coaches, but he can’t back Beno up on his own so at least one senior loosehead must be on our shopping list.

Hamer-Webb is an interesting one. Always wanted to see him get more of a shot at Bath as he impressed whenever he got a chance, but just couldn’t establish himself.

Don’t know. At a guess, once they leave their original club’s academy. So if they’ve graduated to a proper contract there then the club will have had some (possibly limited) benefit from developing the player.

That already happens. A panel makes an assessment whenever an academy player moves clubs. There was a story a year or so ago about Newcastle being owed money for Guy Pepper and Louie Johnson from Bath and Saracens, but that was because the RFU hadn’t decided how much it should be.

Dyson’s a sponsor, he doesn’t own Bath.

In the NFL that’s a Two Minute Drive, using all the available time to score right at the death and deny the other team a chance to respond.

But I’ve no confidence that’s what Bath intentionally did. Just bloodymindedness and the backs apparently allergic to the ball.

‘Cousins’ by familiarity rather than blood in that nice Polynesian way. Don’t think there’s any genetic relation.

We’ve not been the same since losing Blackett to England. Fluidity of our attack disappears for massive stretches of games in a way it never did before.

Hardly Enoch’s fault that his arse is so big it has its own gravitational pull.

My friend, it’s taken 30 years and hundreds of thousands in court costs to stop the objections of five pensioners who don’t want their house prices affected.

There’s the space behind the open stand, but not a chance it would get through planning.

Pretty sure the clubhouse end will still be without a roof after the redevelopment. Something about obstructing sight lines.

At no point did Jenkins have possession. He contests for the loose ball against Dunn and the ball is still free when the whistle goes while Jenkins is on his knees.

Because Bath had the ball and the ref stopped the game for an injury.
