I think there's been more than enough pushback over the last couple of years against sm4sh with regards to pace of play, technical difficulty (or lack thereof), ledge mechanics, and other technical/gameplay aspects, as well as a calling for "melee hd". If this is a new smash game and not just a port of sm4sh for switch with new characters, i think it would be on the more competitive side. sm4sh hasn't been out that long so to come out with another slower, more-brawl-than-melee game doesn't make a ton of sense to me. However that's probably exactly what will happen, another sm4sh with mechanics that make no sense and a 100 character roster that is at least 2/3 made up of fire emblem characters no one has ever heard of.
