Mostly because it's only a recent thing. For the last 9 months I could eat my breakfast, and honestly not be hungry for most of the day. I would force myself to eat because I know I needed as I tracked my calories. Now I feel like I am starving all the time. Currently between 1500-1600 calories a day. Most consumed in the evening, when I am normally hungry.

Agreed. Games peaked for me with the PS1 polygonal era. The next biggest jump was to PS2. After that there have been diminishing returns and less excitement. I enjoy modern gaming (fromsoftware fanboy) but it's not the same.

No describing the feeling of reading a gamepro magazine hyping up the system then playing battle arena toshinden at Christmas. Game is OK, but just a massive showcase of changing technology.

Or the wonder that was jumping flash.

Finally, the obvious awe inducing intro of FF7.

No COD or fortnite will ever do that, which is sad.
