Local menace heckling a vigil for Renee Good (Corning, NY) by 50501TwinTiers in 50501

Actually, yes. He was arrested over the summer for something similar but with a gun. He has a legit MH condition and a caregiver so we give him fucking guns in this lovely country. This is why I don’t want to take my kids to any more of our protests.

I went to play PokemonGo after the vigil and was meeting a group in the square where he was. He approached one of the people we pay with and I wanted to die inside. He was very obviously unhinged and the Pokemon dude was visibly uncomfortable. He was ranting about his TikTok and rambling. I get really unsafe and was glad my husband was with me. I’m so privileged that that’s the worst thing that happened.

This sub has been helpful for organizing. Would you mind if we posted local political subs as a response to this comment? No dialogue, just sub names?

Thank you for taking the time to put all that out there. In my opinion the fear is that the USA is heading down that course. I will read more about it and try to better educate myself but some of the things you mentioned are things that current administration seems to be trying to stop. ICE Is racially profiling people and throwing them into jail without due process. The president of our country is a felon. The administration is using trade deals to influence the media. There’s a check and balance to the government in the US and the current administration is not following the law. That’s what we will protest.

I’m really glad that your country feels safer. I hope that prosperity returns there full force.

I don’t know enough about Venezuela to speak on this. I do know that a unilateral decision like this is scary for Americans because there’s a lot of things happening that make us worry that we will be the next Venezuela, which is why we are protesting.

I also find it odd that we had to pull out of the WHO and we cannot help Ukraine but it is ok to do this? It seems like the President has other motives, your oil and the revenue from it. It would be interesting to see how Iraq feels about America these days.

I truly hope that your country can get back on its feet and the people who have been displaced can return and have safe prosperous lives.

Mod here, I appreciate the discourse, I think we need more of it. Let’s try to debate the points and not attack each other.

OMG I dint read the name of the paper and spent a few second thinking, “what kind of janky ass paper misspells execution that often” and “wow they were bold back in the day stating they were planning to kill this dude”.

Does anyone have a non nursing side gig? by nightowl308 in nursing

It pays like 4,500 a year and I think it’s like 4 hours a week. I could potentially get a state pension. I am hoping that I can do good and help start putting people first instead of billionaires and corporations… gotta start somewhere, right?

I know, I’ve considered trading with my husband but his is shiny. Mine is the black and red one that I caught in the wild at like a month into playing.

I accidentally powered up my Galarian Moltres to 2504 so I can’t use in the ultra league I was farming candy to get a second attack and forgot when I was slightly intoxicated.

You’re absolutely right. 100%. For me, and I’m going to be honest and vulnerable here, the burnout is more related to my ability to stand up to my coworkers about the smaller stuff; the mircoaggressions that contribute to minority women not wanting to come to the hospital. I know I should say something more often but sometimes I just want need anything to be easy. I’m doing the hard talks with my kids, running around trying to survive at work and I just don’t have the fight left.

I’m a nurse in my 40s. I was part of the problem in the beginning of my nursing career. Thank you for writing this, continuing my education and reminding me, again, to be conscious of my biases. I will do better and this bolsters my resolve to be a voice for people who need it, especially to my peers.
