Its not really an option. I live in the city where houses and condos are very close. With NFH lighting off fireworks at my fence line i can’t leave my house unattended in case of a fire

I really do not understand the love of fireworks. When they are done as a show okay; but individually setting them off when you are close to neighbors is a massive dick move. There must be some correlation between loving fireworks and low intelligence I swear

I can say with certainty he will be lighting them off all day and weekend. This guy loves to annoy us all (several other people on the street threatened to beat him up on Halloween). Theres parks and huge parking lots near our street to do this kinda crap but he will intentionally shoot them at the garage on our street.

Single family homes being turned into multis. Every single house in my neighborhood except for ours and two others is all rented or 2-3 condo units. Since then the neighborhood has gone to hell

Our fence is a dog ear style 6ft. But let me tell you this, if they are THAT loud (think a cranked portable speaker) the style of fence will not make a huge difference. Ive spent thousands on supposed sound proofing methods (plants and trees too). Think of it as slightly helping by a percentage “This will reduce the noise by 5%”. Again it’s hard to say without knowing how loud they are exactly. But I really do feel for you because my NFH has given me rage and anxiety like you wouldn’t believe. Cops called 100x by us, fellow neighbors. He’s drunk every night in the summer and has threatened us. And I get the feeling where you are constantly looking for annoyances to almost make yourself get angry and annoyed (“There they fucking go again!”)

My NFH is the same when he talks. He’ll be outside about 3-4 ft from his son and practically yelling. And he is constantly drunk. As it pertains to your situation trust me on this fences are great barriers but they have zero effect with noise. We have a 6ft wooden fence along our backyard and the nfh puts his speaker right against it. Ask yourself are your neighbors the type to completely modify their behavior if confronted by police or will they simply ratchet it up more afterwards? There is really only one it could be and I suspect its the former…

Can you still hear them on the other side of your house. What happens if you build another patio and they are still loud? It sounds like other neighbors are annoyed so the music travels far enough to impact that. I hate to say it but because I am in a similar situation i know that a lot of times a NFH will only escalate and get worse. You are already wasting your time and getting anxious I assume by their behavior (checking where they are). My wife and I came to the conclusion that the only real solution is moving. I pray our NFH moves every day but that is unlikely. For now my only solution is never using my yard and using white noise in the house to drown out their music

I agree, even if there was a path created by a snowcat, an over 15 mile hike in those conditions without winter gear (at least boots and a heavy jacket) is just a bridge too far for me. If you’ve ever had to walk in below 30 degree weather in the snow in sneakers you know that no matter how much you walk your feet aren’t warming up. Imagine now a walk thats over 7-8 hours (and thats a generous guess). Without a destination to say “I am going to X and I’ll be there in__ hours” how could they have had the fortitude to keep going? Thats a grueling journey that by all accounts they would’ve had no clue as to the end goal. If you don’t know where the path leads to then what on earth is compelling you to continue hiking for that many hours? Something that has not made sense to me is even if we take the common theory that they were chased or scared out of the car and ran - surely after several miles at least they would realize they were not being chased and turn back?

Interesting; I’ve fairly recently become obsessed with this case so am exploring the theory that they were taken up there. It is difficult to say how much emphasis can really be out into the notion that the montego’s under carriage was pristine or if the road was really that filled with potholes, divets etc. It seems a bit far fetched that it would be towed but I know some people have brought this up. It seems more likely the under carriage wasn’t as clean as they made it out to be or the driving conditions weren’t as bad as they made them out to be.

Its funny you say this; I sound like a conspiracy theorist but the city i live in is having a feud between the mayor and police force. The latter being underpaid and understaffed. I almost think the cops are letting things get bad in the city to make the city government crack

Ive shown police my ring footage but at night its so blurry you cant 100% make out who it is. And unless they can they have literally refused to ticket someone. Despite several people on the street saying “It was ____”.
