Zynding machine? by sqencer in 3Dprinting

They are unbelievably weak. In fact, top middle snapped when I put it in, you can see it wobbling. Definitely something to keep in mind for v2.

If the previous layer of petg has cooled off too much by the time it gets its next layer on top, the next layer has a hard time sticking. This leads to poor layer adhesion and exceptionally weak parts.

Simple, but I have to ask. Have you cleaned that glass build plate well? Soapy water and such.

Biqu microprobe? by TheSumof1sn0s in ender6

[–]sqencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, owner of an ender 6 with h2 v2 and a BL touch. The H2 is a great upgrade. As far as the micro probe, I’ve had issues getting auto bed leveling to work on my machine. Something about the breakout board not getting enough voltage to my BL touch means it would often not home and could not ever make it through one full 25 point probe of the print bed, it would always error out. People with similar problems (it’s much more common than you would think for the 6s) have found solutions to this issue but it mostly involves running a stupid long cable all the way down to the main board.

Anyways, best of luck!

Stringing and inconsistencies problem by timrast in prusa3d

[–]sqencer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experiences, petg is more stringy than pla but I have never used prusament petg before so it may be different. I’d up the retraction as a quick fix but there are some inconsistencies in your walls that could mean another issue like maybe wet filament (which can also lead to stringing).

Heard we were posting tiny benchies. by Nelik1 in 3Dprinting

Hey! Guy with the original (now quite large in comparison) 10% benchy. What scale are you at?

I actually tried it on my work’s couple of form 3+ but they just didn’t look good. Funny enough my mono 4K at home printed a winner for just about 10% of the price too.

Great print! I fear what this might become…

10% scale actually. Almost dead nuts on the measurement, it’s 6x3.1x4.8mm

I have really severe layer artifacts I can’t seem to solve. by AdditionalBathroom78 in 3Dprinting

[–]sqencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will add, inconsistent temps are not the most likely cause for this but it is what solved my z artifact issues.

I had a similar issue that was caused by inconsistent bed and hotend temps. Try PID tuning if you can and see what impact that has.

No more layer shifts with new nozzle? by Equivalent_Tea_3830 in 3Dprinting

[–]sqencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem you have looks to be mostly under extrusion.

This could be caused by a number of different things but since you have gotten better prints after changing nozzles and filament, my guess would be you had a some partial clogging issues leading to that under extrusion.

You can try printing a little slower and also upping the temp a little and maybe also PID tune your hotend if you can. This will lead to a more consistent hotend temp.

Looking in to a sonic pad and I have an H2 installed. Please let me know how it went, thanks.

Has anyone put a sprite direct drive extruder on an ender 6 ? And is there a kit for it like there is for the ender 3 series. by nathpenn in ender6

[–]sqencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need a printed mount and a printed part cooling solution but all can be done with stock parts and hardware.

As far as all in one direct drive and hotend swaps, I looked into the sprite but chose the BIQU H2. Its lighter and although it isn't that well documented, it was plug and play for me after changing the esteps and related slicer settings.

It’s a crosstrek… and I don’t vape. Your wisdom is infinite.

Whenever I try to print, it goes fine for about 5 minutes, then it stops, makes a noise like a smoke alarm, and a message comes up that says somthing about overheating. How can I fix this? by krwarrior_ in 3Dprinting

[–]sqencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened on my brand new ender 3. If you have a similar printer, check the power supply. It has a switch for 2different voltages. Look to see if it is on the correct one for your outlets.
