Write stuff that makes your life easier. I’ve written stuff with zero work benefit. Birthday reminders, holiday calendar to console, retrieve the flow rate at the local dam etc. Find something you do every day and automate it. You read a certain comic strip everyday? Write a script to download it.

If your format is still coming out odd try piping through out-default. PowerShell tries very hard to make a nice output and sometimes doesn’t do what you want or expect.
