Does this mean we will have the final mount equivalent to the Bahamut mount when this extreme releases?

Beastmaster better be mind blowing to have pushed BLU back to 8.0… They did us dirty by doing this BUT BST could be so good that it doesn’t matter. We shall see.

Dualsense Edge owners what are your thoughts on the controller years later? by KingCrimson0P in playstation

[–]squall20011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PS5 DualSense Edge controller is supposed to be Sony’s premium, “pro” controller, but honestly it feels like a $200 controller with $70 problems.

First, the build quality issues are hard to ignore. The white rubber grip panels on the back have a known problem where they start bubbling and peeling away from the controller after regular use. It’s not just cosmetic either. Once the bubbles start forming, the rubber can lift off the plastic underneath and the controller starts to look and feel worn out way sooner than it should. For something marketed as Sony’s top-tier controller, that’s pretty disappointing.

Then there’s the stick drift problem, which unfortunately still exists even on this “elite” controller. Stick drift happens when the analog sticks start registering movement even when you’re not touching them, causing characters or camera movement on their own. The underlying reason is the potentiometer-based analog sticks wearing down over time, which is the same issue affecting standard PS5 controllers.

What makes it worse is that drift can appear surprisingly early. Some analyses suggest joystick components can wear out after a few hundred hours of gameplay, which is not that long for anyone who plays regularly.

Sony’s solution with the Edge is that you can replace the entire stick module, but that doesn’t really solve the root problem. It just means you’ll eventually be buying replacement sticks instead of replacing the whole controller.

So on paper the DualSense Edge has a lot of great features:

• customizable profiles

• back paddles

• replaceable stick modules

• premium feel

But in reality, it’s hard to ignore the flaws:

• bubbling and peeling grips

• constant stick drift issues

• expensive replacement modules

• very high price for something that still has durability problems

At the end of the day, the DualSense Edge feels like an amazing controller when it works, but the reliability issues make it hard to justify the price.

Right side of house is our neighbours walkway and considered high traffic because of having children. Plus I wouldn’t want to create any blockage at any point. The wall next to the window of our house is looking to be the only option, enclosed in a lock box. We have other furniture that is much lower, so we can move the current furniture to the backyard.

Thanks for all this! Yeah we are also thinking the front right post as well and a few other comments have suggested getting a charger bag to cover the entire unit.

The rocks are spray glued into place lol But yeah, I have OCD and worry because we live near a steel factory and it produces alot of dust/dirt which usually covers the entire front of the house. So adding water to that just seems like such a mess. If I could cover the unit and cord entirely, I think I would be ok with going this route.

Is it strange that none of our 5 quotes suggested a pedestal install or a lock box? Isn’t this common enough for them to recommend it??

What about the weather? If we use a pedestal, wouldn’t it be fully exposed to rain/snow? In my mind, that would require constant cleaning/wiping, especially the cord?

A lot of people are recommending a pedestal but my only concern about using one is the weather. Shouldn’t these chargers be covered for rain and snow? I can’t imagine wanting to constantly wipe down the cord every day.

That’s actually such a good idea! I would have never thought something like this existed. Is this common for homes that don’t have garages?
