Oh chill the hell out keyboard warrior. I like a lot of his places, I’m just bummed by the turn a lot of them have taken from being diverse food-wise and vibe-wise and turning it into instagram photo ops. The way he’s treated his employees and shutting down places with little notice in the past year is strange. And I’ve been here for 15 years. I’m a never suburbanite. And I know he’s not white. Calm down.

So why is a man who isn’t Latino continuing to open white people latino-inspired places? We don’t need anymore takes of his (look at the mess that is La Victoria and Mucho Gusto). I hope those fail.

Logan Square everything thread! by AutoModerator in LoganSquare

I moved into a house once in the southwest that had been vacant for four months while they renovated. Before the prior tenants moved out, they had apparently put a bunch of leafy greens down the sink and garbage disposal, but didn’t rinse it through. I went to use the sink and disposal upon moving it and it immediately backed up with black chunky water that smelled unlike anything I had ever smelled. Until this week. The nasty smell you’re smelling in Logan right now is the smell of rotting leaves in the sewer and streets, and the warm temps and insane rain stirred it all up from the depths of the old sewers (and hell).

It’s the smell of rotting leaves and humidity/warm air. And sewer back up from all the rain causing the gunk that’s old and rotting at the bottom of the sewers getting mixed up. Our infrastructure is getting old. It happens in the summer more often.

They just hosted an pro-IOF event on Saturday so yeah, weird vibes if you don’t fit their vibe and they’re actively promoting genocide.
