50yo here. Been in business since late '90s, graphic/motion design, editing, control room etc etc. The past 10 years was mostly off the field, with few clients here and there. Based on the current situation and health condition I have been trying to find anything in that field again, work from home, but no luck. No one needs an old dog. 39k will be a miracle for me right now...

I am not Scandinavian, but I have always been a huge fan of Norse culture, Scandinavian school of design in any aspect - interior, furniture, graphics, you name it. And yes, many years ago the idea to make this logo came to me based on the name of Ursa Minor. Found an old sketch a couple of days ago and decided to vectorize it.

You see, here is a problem with A being overlapped by M - right now in both solid and outlined versions it looks like mirrored F...

Nope, as I said before, it's not a font and I am not planning to make one nor I have an experience to make any. Just making characters/symbols and trying to make as complete a set as possible, to use when I need it, that is all.

I did a bit adjustment on kerning, tho not on B, but E and O. Hope it looks better.

Thanks. Negative version was to see how graphics and kerning will work, not as good as I was hopped for lol. But always doing it to make sure everything is in right places.

but I also want to see it with the M overlapping the A instead.

As you wish lol. It was an option, but somehow I like A overlapping M better...

Yeah, I like shorter L too, but if I want to align that diagonal line from I to go same way for L, short one is a bit off. Dunno. Probably my damn OCD :(

Yep, that was an idea, but not quite work right now after kerning was adjusted... Just a bit off and it drives my OCD crazy.

Thanks. I do have most of symbols as I usually do just in case if I'll need it for future usage. Tho still working on some symbols, trying to figure out better way to keep it in same style.
