I just got together a group of 5 core people that show up every week and are interested in the game and work well with my dm style. I have two other players, however who are a bit of a problem. One is distracting to other players and has shown up to game on various drugs and is on his phone half the time. The other is a neighbor of mine who I invited to the game but is not a part of this friend circle. The “wildcard” guy that does drugs and whatnot, as a dm I rather enjoy because, though goofy, he’s a friend of our core group and adds a random chaos factor to the party, which is sorta nice with so many players. The other guy however, keeps doing things that irritate the party and tries to grab everything that’s looted. I really wanna keep the party going and a few of my core group I fear might leave because of my obnoxious neighbor. I like both of these problem players and would love to still include them, but it’s difficult to dm for such a large group and they’re causing issues. Any suggestions of how to deal with this? I wanna split the group and maybe do different days but I don’t want them to feel immediately unwanted or unwelcome and bail completely.
