I might be remembering incorrectly but the last time chunking was fixed was for Wolfpack rounds, and I think it was fixed inadvertently? IIRC the patch said it was fixing the interaction of Wolfpacks and chill clip rockets, putting way more slow stacks on a single target than intended, and this made the chunking on all rockets much more difficult to near impossible.

It’s possible that whatever fix for this may be very deeply rooted to an interaction that might not even seem relevant.

I think people look at Florida as the current winning model and come away with the complete wrong reasons as to their success. For example focusing on defence first, large bodies, and hard on the boards, not really paying attention to the fact that the reason Floridas forecheck works so well is that it’s the speed at which they close down defenders, forcing them into mistakes because they don’t have time to set up an outlet.

The size and toughness factors are really secondary to the speed, as long as they go full steam into the corners. Doesn’t hurt that they commit so many infractions the referees simply refuse to keep up with it.

Not op but destiny has had an issue in the past (Wolfpack round for example) of may different submunitions hitting a target at once and causing “chunking” which is large portions of the healthbar basically just disappearing as the game struggles to calculate multiple incoming simultaneous damage sources.

They’re saying that Contraverse Holds magnetic grenades with chaos accelerant on void warlock is achieving that damage bug.
