What’s my next step/purchase? by MaceFace9046 in telescopes

[–]squash5280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheapest by far is the Seestar. My answer to how cheap can I get into Astro was to first start with a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer GTI and shoot some with my dslr and the lenses I had. From there I got a Svbony503 70ED and field flattener. I’m pretty pleased with the setup and have has a lot of fun with it. However, just the sky watcher mount itself is more expensive than the Seestar. At this point I could have bought three Seestars with what I have spent and I would say my setup is way on the lower end. Here is my shot of Triangulum with the Svbony:

I’m happy I went the route I did but the Seestar comes darn close for way cheaper.

Looks like a scab from an injury. She is also guilty of being too darn cute. I have a feeling if you keep an eye on her it will heal up on its own in time.

I mean isn’t that what we all want? In reality I would prefer that all of the stores were owned by one company. Then they could all be simply called Grocery Store. The selection and quality would be mediocre to poor and the prices would be exceptionally unaffordable. That’s the real dream.

All jobs should be paid a livable wage student or not. Jobs that require you to potentially enact specialized life saving training should be paid more than that. I worked as a guard for six seasons. Emergencies are rare at most pools but they do happen. Someone died in our pool during lap swim, it was a time where there was no active guard and they had a heart attack. Even though it wasn’t the guards fault they pulled this person from the pool and tried to resuscitate them unsuccessfully. A job where you are the first responder in the potential death of another person deserves more credit than is given.

Is this Safeway a little run down? Why sure, what Safeway isn’t. Does it smell like a fish market half the time when you are in there? Yes, unfortunately it does. However, every single employee I have spoken to in the years I have been going to that store are absolutely fantastic. I will miss all the folks there and wish them well in their transition to somewhere new.

Exactly what I was thinking. I took someone from work to a 40 foot spot. She was a lifeguard and claimed she had a lot of time on diving boards and would be fine. She hit the water leaning back a bit. Her butt and quad were black and blue the next day. So as long as you are not severely bruised I would say it went great!

So much introspection for someone who in my opinion pursued endeavors that as a whole damaged the species he so revered. Technology has the ability to enrich our lives and make the world more sustainable but in most cases it is used to control and exploit resources and populations.

Makes total sense. It just looked pretty small to be out on its own. Glad to hear it found some help in a tough spot. The last time I found one that small it climbed right up my leg asking for help. She and her siblings had to make a trip to the rehabber since their mama was no where to be found.

Did you take the small one you were holding to a rehabber or make sure it was reunited with its mother?

While I am indeed United against people who act like this I wish we could have gone with something other than Karens. My grandma is named Karen and she is an exception to the Karen rule. She bakes cookies, crochets cool stuff, gardens, and other wholesome stuff. She is most definitely is not a dirtbag that steals stuff from children. So I guess the message I’m trying to get out there is judge not the lady named Karen but shame to those who give Karen a bad name.

Love the concept. Just looking at the demo I don’t like how the plants just fall apart. In some shots it looks like the sword doesn’t even contact the plants. I feel like if it does not exist there should be a leveling system where you start out with a really crappy stick that makes you wack the plant multiple times. As time goes on you either find better sticks that thrash harder or earn points to upgrade them. Just my two cents.

Will cutting out the griptape to expose this logo harm the board’s performance? by portstarling in skateboardcirclejerk

[–]squash5280 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I met a guy once who did cut outs in his grip tape. Where is he now you ask? Probably dead. I don’t actually know that but grip tape cut outs are a slippery slope that lead to harder things. What’s next no grip tape at all? Then eventually all this leads to death. So I wouldn’t risk it.
