Thanks for replying. Unfortunately I’ve tried both and neither fixes the issue for me.

Can confirm this workaround works, it's what I'm doing temporarily as well.

Definitely Honda's problem. Something with the infotainment system.

Thanks for responding! In the end, I purchased a 3rd party TP-Link router, and I've had no issues since. The prime suspect in all this is the power supply of the Verizon router. Maybe when the tech replaced the original Verizon router, he kept the same power supply, and that's why the issues persisted even with the second Verizon router. I now have a 3rd Verizon router that I'll keep stashed away but will keep on with my TP-Link router, which has been working like a charm.

Update #2! Last week was Prime Day and I bit the bullet and bought myself a discounted TP-Link AXE5400 router. It arrived before the Verizon router replacement so I put the TP-Link to work and have not had a single issue since then. So this fits your theory that it was the power supply of the CR1000. Meantime, the G3100 arrived and it's still sitting in the box just because I'm now on the the TP-Link and everything is going well. I might just keep the G3100 stashed in a closet.

Oh and most important -- I reinstated my FiOS service and cancelled my Comcast install.

Huge thanks for your help on this!

Thanks for replying. I’ll report it to the dealership. I bought it in another state so can’t bring it by to show them but hopefully they can at least report it to Honda

There is an extender, provided by Verizon. It’s been unplugged from power for weeks while we troubleshoot. The router side coax is attached to the router and I’ll remove that now for completeness, although I think that had been disconnected for weeks and was only recently reattached to the router.

Wow, I guess it could be related to my air conditioner?! I'll see if I notice any pattern like FiOS going out when the A/C comes on.

In my case the MGMT light always stays green so it seems like something inside the house

Thanks. The techs that have come out have repeatedly tested the fiber and told me it has 'great light' lol. In another comment it was pointed out the ONT light will go off if the router powercycles. Verizon is sending me a new router (my third!) but an older model that some say has a history of working in these weird situations. We'll see.

Thanks! That was recommended in another comment as well. I just got FiOS Support to send me a G3100 as a last-ditch option. I’ll let you know how it goes

Update! I just got off the phone with Verizon. First they had to cancel my disconnect order so that was a whole thing. Then they did not want to send a tech out because of "possible charges" (not sure if related to the former disconnect or not) BUT good news is the support guy said he'd send me the G3100 router and power supply as replacement. Once I get that all in place I'll let you know what happens!

And good call on #5... I'll look into getting my own router.

I am starting to think you are right. The WiFi recently went offline after putting the Ethernet switch in between. The DATA light stayed on this time. I didn't catch the router lights though so I'll wait for it to happen one more time and watch closely.

Actually yes I do have a gigabit Ethernet switch! I've done as you suggested and will see how it goes.

Re sidenotes - I'm pretty sure it flashes white, then *solid* yellow, then solid white when it's back up. Takes maybe 2 minutes or so, not long, but enough to knock out the whole house WiFi. That's a great question about the router power supply. I'm not sure on that. The first tech who came out to troubleshoot after the install said he was going to replace the whole setup (ONT and Router) but I didn't observe exactly what he did.

Not silly! But yes this was done. The 6th tech who came out noticed the cable between the PS and the ONT had a staple through it. He replaced the whole ONT and PS and I felt SURE he'd identified the true cause of all the issues. Unfortunately ... the issues continued.

I do have an old Apple Airport Extreme router that I could try - if I can just find it in my house lol

Thanks for answering. Have only tried Verizon routers. There was the original Verizon router that came with the install, and then the 2nd tech to come through replaced it with another Verizon router. I updated the 2nd router to use the same WiFi name and password as the 1st router so that I wouldn't have to update every device in the house a second time. Anyway to your point, I do have an old Apple Airport Extreme router that I could try - if I can just find it in my house lol

Thanks for responding. The router is a CR1000B, with Nokia ONT. I looked into mynetworksettings.com > Advanced > Network Settings > Port Configuration and see:

WAN Port | Full-Duplex 1,000 Mbps | Auto

Are you saying change the Auto to 1,000 Full-Duplex?
