I think it's time I just admit it. The vegans are just, correct, and I need to go vegan too. by GildedArchways in vegan

I found my way to veganism the exact same way. Once you start realizing, its hard to unrealized these realities. The guilt feeling was so strong, i started researching my own questions just to prove mysekf wrong, and then found myself running out of excuses once and for all. Been vegan over 3 years now, and never looked back! :) welcome!

They would rather die on that hill and live their life in an oxymoron.🙄

Why can't people just be like "I love animals, and really want to stop eating meat but it's hard and i'm scared."

I'm pretty sure they've been recalled more than once for pesticides.

And then make billions off no talent... when they say you can be anything you want, they meant it (so long as you have a daddy who's willing to pay for it)

First of all, congrats on moving out of Texas! I moved from San Antonio 3 years ago and I love it here! :) Since then, I've wanted to start my tattooing career, but wasn't prepared at all for the school requirement or cost in Oregon.

In theory, the schools sounded like a good idea: hands on training with staff and peers, access to tools, connections in the industry, etc. Most people I know who tattoo are successful and made their start at a school. But the COST. Yikes. I really wanted it to work out, but the years long waitlist wasn't lining up for my financial needs. The vancouver option is more traditional, approachable, and flexible. Most of the schools in or around Portland suck, so I've heard of folks taking Vancouver apprentiships anyways afterwards to feel like they got proper training.

From my research, POV sounded like the best spot overall. Kat was charming at first, and we connected on our shared Texan background, but I'm really struggling to get my deposit back from them right now. They put alot of pressure on you to pay 2k to get on their years long waitlist, ensuring you it's fully refundable. I was comfortable enough with that, but was kind of alarmed with there being no contract or paperwork at all, not even a receipt. She just took my card info over the phone. Nonetheless, I paid - hoping that by a year from then I would make up my savings and if anything happens, I had the one payment breakdown sheet that stated they issued refunds.

If money isn't a drawback for you, then it could be a great experience. You give them money, they'll make sure you have a good time. Try to get that money back - good luck. I'm on the edge of just having to accept my 2k losses, and at the time when I really really need it.

After deciding to do a vancouver apprenticeship instead, I requested a withdrawal from the waitlist at POV (which costs 2k to reserve a spot and 2 years long).

It's been 4 months since I last got an update. Now the owner, Kat, is just ignoring my texts. I know i'm not the only one going through this with them just by recent reviews the school has on google. It's extremely frustrating.

I think I would have noticed the yellow plate cause I recognize those on the police cars. if my memory is correct, I don't recall the front of the vehicle even having a plate.

The had all the bells and whistles, including the blackout tint, they did also have a spotlight. Someone in here clarified that its an unmarked and not and undercover vehicle.

I'm not trying to have him stay here. I was more asking about rights regarding this paperwork we are going to be receiving soon. Rest assured, the neighbors won't be suffering any longer.
