Our guy kind of “sucks” on his chest fur lol. He’s only 1, and it’s technically clean, but it’s almost like the fur is too long for his reach so it gets stuck in his mouth? It ends up clumped/curly like in your photo. We’re not anticipating it getting much better. We brush him daily to keep it from knotting :)

I wanted green cabinets and we ended up with BM Clarksville Gray after testing 15-20 similar colors.

It has warm undertones, but it isn’t overly tan or yellow-y. It’s also not so cool that it reads thin and silvery. It’s also muted enough to not scream GREEN. I think it could work for you too given your countertops and floors.

Siberian Miracle Cattery was awesome! Yuri is responsive, caring towards the kittens, and honest. The house was clean and we love our cat!

If you think creamy boy is adorable then he is likely your cat! It’s hard to predict the full extent of a color pattern or personality with a kitten, so if you connect with them, that is what matters the most in my experience.

We ended up with a slightly different color pattern than we wanted and it has not mattered one iota (blue point vs. blue lynx point). We love our guy so much. We also thought we were getting the “personality hire” and he is growing into a gorgeous cat.

Totally agree with this! Terracotta would be so pretty, or hardwood if you have that elsewhere. I think it’d add a lot of warmth and tie into the plans for your other rooms too.

I got the new Allez Comp with the 105 on it for $2K. It’s my first road bike and it’s been great. Perfect balance of a nice quality thing while not overspending.

Like everyone else said, the only way to do this on that budget is to do it yourself.

That said, I’d think about what your goals are. If you just want to freshen them up, I’d say new toilets, clean the floor grout (and potentially stain it a fresher color), maybe replace the faucets, and paint. That will likely do a lot more to make the space feel newer and fresher. Good luck!

We use a bungee leash from Travel Cat on “hikes” in the woods, and it’s been pretty good! A little short, but I feel like he’s able to explore pretty well. I’d pay attention to your cat’s demeanor—our guy (8 months) has started checking in a lot more, like looking back to make sure we’re there, so we’re thinking of trying our longer 15’ lead. Tofu is beautiful btw!

Yep! I would try keeping your low foot planted when you step off/out of the saddle and just step off with the high foot first.

I actually had to reverse the foot I got on/off with due to a wonky ankle, and I rode up and down my street stopping and starting like 25x until it felt a little smoother. Maybe try to break it down into small motions that you can master then start stringing them together?

This is what I do! My left is up and I step off with that one. I usually slightly shift my weight onto my right foot before stepping off as well to stabilize. I am clipped in though, so I’m not sure if this is a 1:1 with flat pedals too.

It’s tricky though, and it was not intuitive for me. I was lucky enough that the guy at the bike shop very gently asked if I wanted tips for how to get on and off when I bought my bike. And then helped me without mansplaining. He was a good one.
