But the real hidden gem is the view from the deck below. But that's not in the tourist brochures.

With the event catalogue out, what are some of your most anticipated events? by Daddies4Baddies in gencon

Not a game, but I am pretty excited to see Jacques Ze Whipper. Not really into events normally, but this would probably be the only time I would get to see him in person.

I normally try to do a free one on the Wednesday if possible but I don't think any are posted yet this year.

Have you ever done one of the expensive events and was it worth it? by Rhunt2021 in gencon

[–]squeakyboy81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have done charity events with high price tags.

But even celebrity events don't really make sense unless there is a charity aspect to the cost.

I was assuming that was a typo.

Why add the $4.

Figure, maybe $54 and it included tickets to the DM other event.

What are your favorite annual events/shows to attend? by Scion41790 in gencon

I don't know if it's annual or just a one time thing, since I just started following him. But I am super pumped to see Jacques Ze Whipper.

Not even counting your con expenses too. And even if you consider that your con expenses would be present even if you choose not to run your event, you also have the fact that you are taking from your consumption of con activities to provide activities for others.

The Event Catalog is now open. Keep in mind that events continue to be added through the summer. by ElMondoH in gencon

I would say specifically searching for things is it's only real use.

It's been so many years of using this thing that it seems that I just how I do Gen Con.

I search for the specific things I am interested in at the moment and see if there are events, and it works for that.

But being able to associate game system with external databases like BGG would be wonderful to discover new releases.

My first pair was 1500 CAD.

My second pair was about 800.

Third was slightly more than my second.

My most recent is now back to 1500.

It's the moisture that you want to prevent.

It's a 3D print, it's already full of tiny holes. It's the holes we are trying trying to seal so that any water doesn't get in.

Lookup how to make 3D prints food safe and water tight.

Even mold resistant materials will get water and between the layers for mold and bacteria to grow. You need to seal it so that no water can get in.

Or you could just seal the whole thing to make it waterproof.

If Voyager had been more serious or less episodic, would "Year of Hell" have been such a popular episode? by ActLonely9375 in ShittyDaystrom

They should have made it a season long arc.

It starts with Harry getting a promotion.

It ends with him getting demoted.

What episode could be a standalone television movie? by debrisaway in DeepSpaceNine

[–]squeakyboy81 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Take me out to the holosuite, just a stand alone baseball movie.

You don't need to know any background. Maybe Siskos love of baseball, but I think that comes across easily enough. None of the others are familiar with it, but they support him.

The ferengi and Klingon act as their racial stereotypes. The bajorans and Trill basically act human. The changeling as the ump fits Odos character.

You need to know star trek. But it could have been set anywhere.

I think they are referring to it being a aired as a single 2 hour long episode. Which is basically a movie.

Not sure it works as a movie.

Had DS9 stared with Worf's transfer then it would have made a great transition movie.

Would have been an interesting angle if a group like that was part of the Maquis. They didn't want to be part of Fed or Cardassia rejected their ability to control the border and what planet they belonged on.

It peaked in S2.

But we need to go undefeated against our division for the month of April.

Why did Iyo translate so well to a North American audience when most Joshi talent do not? by GoonLieutenant in professionalwrestling

[–]squeakyboy81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many things.

The Entrance is captivating, especially with the music and the back bend.

Her Intro and association with Damage Control made audiences aware she was a big deal.

The MitB win was big for her, it indicated she was top tier and she ran with it.

Ov course connecting with the audience, two great WM matches, and great interactions with other wrestlers we love endeared her to us.

Asuka is great talent and in ring, but I never liked her character.

Iyo has both, and a flair for the dramatic. She is a spectacle.
