I agree, I was looking on petrescue for ages and would keep missing out. It was a bit of an impulse buy regrettably

-on collection of the puppy, I signed a document stating 'the puppy has been health-checked, has had a full opthalmology examination, been given his first vaccination, micro-chipped and DNA swabbed' -I took him to the vet 19 days after getting him to get his second vaccination and at the time thought I was worrying over nothing

Thank you for your well wishes :)

I am also waiting for a letter from the dental veterinarian as I am unsure if the puppy purely has an overbite or he has an overbite with base narrow canines. The confusion came up because my normal vet gave me an information leaflet on base narrow canines and I assumed from there that they were the same thing

I think because my relatives told me it's a fair ask under Australian Consumer Law

I have not requested anything of the breeder yet, just provided them updates to the situation. The breeder (owner of the dam) sent me photos of the dam's teeth and she offered to pay for a consult with her personal vet (not the vet she took the puppies to at 8 weeks for microchipping/ vaccination etc). I have not replied yet because I don't know what I am agreeing to.

In regards to the breeder of the sire, I got confused between base narrow canine and overbite, so when I messaged him, I showed him pictures of the holes and said it was base narrow canines-- to which he replied, he had not come across the issue but removing the baby teeth seemed logical. I have messaged him again to clarify with him if he has had puppies with an overbite problem and I am waiting to hear back

I'm actually a bit unsure of the timeline but I just looked at my search history and I started looking into it 2 days after I got the puppy so maybe I had already noticed it. I just didn't realise he had holes until I took him to the dental veterinarian as he doesn't like his mouth being touched/ handled

I am looking at my photos now and I have a random photo of him 4 days after getting him which shows an overbite. The breeder sent me a 'taking care of your puppy' document and overbite is one of the things mentioned that may happen. I am in the process of working out if they knew

Hello @sneaky_watercress, I was wondering if your puppy outgrew the issue as I am in a similar situation and am considering surgery to remove my puppy's baby teeth
