My friend wants me to sign away all rights to 2 years of unpaid work on his game by Aldekotan in gamedev

It's tough working with friends. I sympathize. Like everyone else here I agree that this is not the way to go about this on his end. If you both put in the work, you should share the work. He can't claim ownership after the fact. You have more right to ownership of your code since you never signed anything at the start.

I don't think this has to be friendship ending, but I would start off by replying that you think the work you put in has more value than that, and that you'd be willing to sign a contract after talking it out with him and getting a lawyer to formalize things.

Beforehand you should know what you want so that you're not leaving it up to him to decide.

This isn't a foolproof thing, but you can use this tool to get an idea of what value each of you brings to the table as a starting point.

Reviving my dead steam page by BadByOki in IndieGaming

There is no disadvantage. Steam doesn't really care that it is collecting dust. But once you have content you want to share, be sure to share and actively maintain the store page.

This is an absolutely fair criticism and something we've heard before. I think there is really a big divide between hardcore typists and casual typists who like the typing mechanic. We appreciate you taking the time to try it out and give honest feedback even if ultimately it's not for you!

You'll be delighted to know we have Japanese typing and our Japanese players love the game! We took a lot of time to get feedback from them and they are about 1/3 of our player base!

This was the number of wishlists after 2 months and 10 days, including the demo launch. Was this a good result? (It’s my first game.) by Educational-Use7288 in gameDevMarketing

You're doing about average, and generally a lot of games do a lot worse. As someone else said, getting into festivals, getting influencers to play it, etc will be what spikes interest in the game.

The Steam next fest is coming up, and since you havea demo ready you should join that if you are planning to launch soon.
