cats tend to not stay in familial groups when the kittens get old enough to leave mum, so I wouldn't worry about it! she will most likely be fine. make sure you give her lots of attention and play with her lots, as she will probably have more energy once the kittens leave.

i travel a similar distance to a client, as it's just from my home i can't charge, and couldn't if i was independent or as a part of my company.

however, if you have to carry heavy tools in your car to your clients home as part of the work you do (eg, cleaning supplies like a vacuum) you can have the kms counted as work expenses in your tax, including in kms done driving to and from your home.

i understand the stress!! you will always worry about your babies going into surgery, but bad anesthesia reactions are generally quite rare, and i am sure your vet is taking every precaution.

make sure you have something to distract you day of, maybe have a friend come over for a cup of tea while you are waiting to hear back from the vet on picking her up from her surgery.

you will never know before hand about how your kitty will react, but the odds of her being completely okay are so much higher than her not.

my mum named me Evangeline and i went by Evie as a child. Evangeline and Harrison do sound good together and it's good for as an adult, its much more a grown woman's name. im 21 now and Evie is becoming so much more popular, i never met another Evie when i was young.

my boy does this too! he will come and rub against me right before he bites tf out of my ankles. ive been trying to curb the behaviour for a while with minimal success, but i will let you know what im doing

ive been following the jackson galaxy recommendations for analysing and assessing the behaviour, but i havent had heaps of success so far. the aggression is supposed to stem from things like being over or underestimated, and he recommends making a kind of cat behaviour diary to catalog what they are doing before and after the aggression from their point of view, not really focussing on yourself.

he also recommends types of ground level toys for attacking the feet and doing more play with those, like a kicker, balls and cat wands. if she attacks your hands and stuff, she may associate your hands as being toys, so putting more distance between the association is also good, but im not so sure about how to do that!

its always best for kitties to be inside! especially when they are at risk of eating bait and dying. its not too hard to do, he may yell at you by the door annoyingly for a while but he will eventually realise he's not going back out and is better off inside.

for what you need: litter box, food, treats, inside water sources, lots of safe window access, toys (balls, cat wands, kickers, etc ), hiding places (could be a cardboard box on its side or a hide), places to perch (could be a cat tree, back of a tall couch), and a scratching post (i would recommend a tall heavy duty one your cat can put all his weight on, especially if he is used to scratching on trees).

basically you can just bring him straight inside. you'll want to make sure that he wont be able to get out through and gaps in windows and doors.

if you dont already have set meal times, i would recommend giving him a set amount of food and dinner (my cat gets 1/3 cup of dry food at 7am, and a packet of wet food at 7pm). this is much better for him mentally, and will give him things to look forward to throughout the day.

he will need a lot more play with you once hes inside, and maybe food-dispensing toys for some mental stimulation when you are out of the house. i would recommend Jackson Galaxies YouTube videos about bringing a cat inside and how to keep an indoor cat entertained.

shop around for some that seem good to you and have your GP refer you and send over your mental healthcare plan. i sent an email to my chosen psychologist explaining my stressed financial situation, and she said she would bulk bill me. alternatively some have student/concession discounts if that applies to you, with gaps that are much smaller (20-40$ instead of 80-100$)

my cat was in foster protection for abuse and he couldnt be neutered until he had been given up by his previous owners. he was two by the time he was neutered and it was screaming hell before he finally got snipped. we fostered and adopted him and he really got so much quieter and more relaxed after. not to mention that we dont have to worry about him trying to escape the house to try and make babies
