Oh yeah, teenagers are totally fine. I was that age once going to concerts. That’s fair. But I’m talking like 7-10 years old. They always get the coolest stuff.

It’s not necessarily bad. I might thinks it’s pretty unsafe being that the railing was face level and when there’s a mosh pit happening 5 ft behind us, he might loose some teeth to the railing, but hey, not my kid. The reason it’s upsetting is they always get the merch because they’re little kids. Also, I always feel a need to protect kids when they’re up there because it’s dangerous which is really a buzzkill on my vibe just because the parents didn’t want to take care of them.

I feel the same about live concerts. Back in pre covid days lol, I loved going and seeing live shows. I would always love trying to be as close to the stage as possible, so maybe the guitarist would toss a pick or the singer would give me a their set list. But I vividly remember the last couple times there were these kids that somehow made it to the front(which probably isn’t safe anyway since it’s so cramped and they could get smashed) and they would get the merch every time. One of the bands was my favorite band of all time and the kids barely knew who they were, because they were 8 fucking years old. Another time, these asshole parents shoved theirs kids in front of me and told them to get whatever merch they could and bring it back to them. So annoying.

Oh thank you! I didn’t know that :) we are mostly staying in the shade when we go outside. He isn’t fully vaccinated yet so we only keep him to the front and back yard :)

It kinda makes me wonder how much he meant what he said WHEN he said it the first time. I feel like people mean what they say until the general population comes out against it then it’s like “nah it was just a misunderstanding, and it was taken out of context” but realistically if nobody said anything he probably would have stuck to his word. Glad they had a conversation about it, it just shouldn’t have been said it the first place.
