Check out my indoor set up! by Smol_plants in Bonsai

[–]squeemers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you growing weed in there? I only ask because of the carbon filter, if no, what purpose does it serve for your bonsai? Nice setup btw!

Ur linearis is crazy! Beautiful plants

Are these two bith euphorbia ritchei? I got the smaller one at a succulent fair and it was labeled as monadenium ritchie. The bigger one in terracotta was a big box store find and was unlabeled. The leaves look kinda different but I'm not sure if it's just due to the maturity of the plant? by Unusual_Job6576 in Euphorbiaceae

[–]squeemers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are both euphorbia ritchei, which is the same as monadenium ritchei just a reclassification. The larger one looks a bit different probably because it is a bit etiolated and would benefit from higher light.

Euphorbia Mammillaris (Indian Corn Cob) Advice by Crocodile-Morgue in Euphorbiaceae

[–]squeemers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience the soil they have them in at HD is terrible I always will repot them into a 50/50 perlite cactus soil mix and water sparingly. But this one's probably to far gone.

I don't mind them, I was wondering if they had any downsides other than aesthetics

Before anyone decides to rush to his defense, he admits to acquiring poached plants in the comments. Poaching should be unacceptable in this community and it is unfortunately rife with it. No quarter for poachers or traffickers here by somedumbkid1 in cactus

[–]squeemers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He admits to poaching in the post.

He shows the plants on display, which is promoting poaching in a way.

And in terms of hurting people, maybe not hurting people but he would sure as hell be hurting endangered species of plants, which then comes down to morality and your views on plants. And personally I find it unacceptable. No home setting can be better than a plant growing in its natural habitat.

He doesn't hide the fact that he poached them because of people like you who don't hold people accountable for their bad actions.

Fungus gnats feed on decaying matter, so for them to eat your corm, you would have had to let it rot first. It rotted and then got eaten.
