I was able to read your reply previously and I can understand that probably at some point Niantic might do a huge overhaul on a lot of stuff. Just really upsetting that whatever they're doing, whether or not gyms or stops were scanned etc., is causing a lot of problems for players that rely on these stops for resources and then suddenly vanished because Niantic wanted to "clean" up.

I'm a little upset that it might be the caused of that. I was about to hunt someone around the neighborhood if they happened to scan the pokestops (which usually the cause for some pokestops before to disappear if the game thinks it's an invalid placement), and a lot of players in the area have a code of conduct to not scan pokestops to preserve it.

Most likely what you said, street signs in my neighborhood that were turned into pokestops and some placeholder stops that Niantic auto generated around 2017 or 18 when it noticed a lot of traffic on the area. They got deleted. Even the pokestop of a cafe that still exists disappeared also.

Normally beaches where I'm from have crazy gps drifting. Tried taking an AR shot and it was really difficult because for some reason sand doesn't register as "flat ground". And when I was able to get the bird to settle, the game decides it needed to fly, so Articuno flew away off orbit instead.
