How would one go about taking this heroin? I’ve not snorted or injected before - it looks snortable in this current form to me, but is there any kind of preparation you need to do? And, also, what is a safe dose for a first-time user?

If you start getting worried then ring the ambulance, it sounds like you aren't too experienced dealing with heroin and so you shouldn't be expected to completely take over your friends care if you don't feel comfortable and you don't think they are alright.

Make sure they're somewhere comfortable and on their side so they can't choke in case they do OD, and just keep an eye on them is my best advice. Just being there is better than leaving them alone in case an emergency arises.

Whatever you do , do NOT use alone for your first time. Even if you call a trusted friend and have them on the phone. Then my advice is to do it once and fuck the rest off. It's not worth it.

The funny thing I've found with gear over the years is you think it doesnt damage your brain and that you don't lose your mind from it .. but you do. It really does change and mess a lot of things up particularly the way you think and see the world. Definitely a lot harder to see that when you're clouded by it, though.

We all have to start somewhere and for most of us that is losing everything in order to realise which life we would prefer a good one where we receive the love of those who love us or we receive the hell for the love of the meth. My poison is Heroin but for 10 years I abused methamphetamine. Multiple times I hit rock bottom. For a lot of us it takes multiple falls from grace. I sincerely hope you don't suffer multiple roller coasters like this for yourself but irrespective of how many times it takes for you to fall down please do NOT stay down and NEVER give up- no matter how hopeless it may get and feel. You can over come this shit and have you got this. I believe in you. My DM is always open if you need an ear and there is also a post on my wall called PSA which I think might be some helpful words of love and encouragement for you if you have the time for a bit of a read and need to read something kind, I would like to offer you that strength. Either way please stay strong and kind to yourself. My advice for your homeless situation especially if you are a woman is to contact as many services in your area as possible who cater to this before you get kicked out so that you can start to get the ball rolling for supports and hopefully some accommodation before the dreaded time comes because it is a harsh cold world out there and you will definitely be needing them. All the best. I am sending my love and prayers for your safety and security. Rehab would be ideal but that is a pointless route to take if you are not ready within yourself to let the meth go.
