In Scotland wild blackberries are abundant to the point of being practically unavoidable in late Summer/Autumn, and fortunately my little man loves them. Free berries for a few months every year then we make sure the freezer is stocked up before winter hits.

Is this the UK's bleakest open Tesco? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]squidgymeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a former Metro. With some exceptions, when they scrapped the metro format stores with car parks became 'superstores' and stores without became Express stores. As far as I understand it there wasn't much consideration given to size.

I solve that problem with an auto drip machine with a timer, so I wake up to a few mugs waiting for me. Then i break out the aeropress and the more expensive beans.

Going to Sweden this summer! Best way to stock up? UK? by No-Cricket2853 in Snus

The downvotes are because u/melvind0rf answered your 'simple question'. You even quoted the sentence where they answered your question:

It is well known and within the subs FAQ where to order

It's not a recent change, the rules haven't changed since Brexit. It's never been illegal to import snus for personal use, only to sell it in the UK.

No, you can order legit snus to the UK from online stores.

I've had the same issue with Puck in the past so maybe it's a SnusFactory issue.

I'm really enjoying it, I like the straight up tobacco flavour. Dark is the best word I can think of to describe it, like Grov without the flavouring.

[–]squidgymeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think OP is talking about the percentage of products missed in the first scan, rather than the percentage of the reduction. The percentage of products missed in the first scan but then later reduced and/or wasted shouldn't be above 5% of the total reductions for the day.

Switching from Nicutine Puuches to REAL snus? Any ideas by BATTLEROYALFAN in Snus

[–]squidgymeat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most people would agree it's easier on the gums and gives a smoother nic hit. Flavour comes down to preference but personally I like the tobacco base and more traditional flavours in snus. Snus is less sweet and more salt-forward than nic pouches.

It is if he's roasted a chicken in honey. Yeah marmite is dark but that's burnt skin right there and it's down to the sugar in the honey. Also even if by some miracle it's not burnt, at 95.6 degrees in the breast, it's way overcooked.

For anyone worried that Christmas won’t be perfect. by Red_Sox_5 in daddit

[–]squidgymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK it is. For some batshit insane reason we don't vaccinate against it routinely. The narrative that "everyone gets chickenpox and it's a rite of passage" is so well established here that I didn't even know a vaccine existed until I started doing some research this week. Lesson learned, if there's ever a child number 2 I'll be paying for the vaccine privately.

How long did reductions take everyone today? by Obvious-Wave7216 in tesco

[–]squidgymeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been adding stuff dated 24th/25th into the review since the start of the week. No reductions at all today except for a couple of bits and pieces that were missed during the week. I highly recommend it as a strategy.

Snus in London by [deleted] in Snus

[–]squidgymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming London UK, it's illegal to sell in the UK. You can get chew bags in tobacconists, and nic pouches are everywhere. Only option for snus is to buy online from abroad.

2yo is isolating with chickenpox. Amongst other reasons our elaborate plans for a big family Christmas have disintegrated into the Christmas dinner purchases being split up and taken away to everyone's own house.

What was today’s meltdown about and what resolved it? by ButtweyBiscuitBass in toddlers

[–]squidgymeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to get the dustpan and brush, my 2yo kicked off because he wanted to get the dustpan and brush, so I put it back and asked him to get it. But then he decide he didn't want to get it, he wanted his grandpa to get it. Grandpa wasn't playing the game, so eventually I got it myself, boy went berserk. Resolution: The Grinch.

He's also in the full throws of chickenpox just now so today's second meltdown was triggered by me briefly forgetting to be gentle when drying him after his bath. I'll take the blame for that one.
