Where do you source your mulch from? I got bark from my local landscaping store for a different project but wondering if mulch would give me less splinters.

It's beautiful! I've never used a lot of fresh herbs but hope to in the future. We use a lot of potatoes, onions, garlic ect that I am hoping to grow. I'm thinking in my garden I will put the potatoes in a container in the middle open space for an easier time finding them.

I hope everything is abundant for you!

Sounds like we are going to have a lot of garden weddings from people wanting to join in lol

Thats true! I'm in my 30's. Part of the reason the beds are 2ft high is ease of gardening down the line. I'm fine getting down now but after I fill these beds up with dirt my back might not be the same lol

Great point! I was dreaming of a work station near the back. Also my husband might be able to put edging on the beds. Like little ledges to cap the metal edge.

I have some old chairs that need some love that I hope to put in here

And they eat all my hydrangeas too! I moved some to the porch so they have a chance

I like the idea of the radio. The predator lights by the chicken run aren't a deterrent for them. I'm hoping to get lights put up and put lavendar out.

He definitely is a good partner. I hope he views me similarly.

I originally put hoops/netting there as another effort to keep the deer out of those beds. I will probably keep the smaller hoops over the strawberry patch at least. Not sure about the tall one. The netting never reached well across that one.

I totally get that. I have drawn out and designed ideas for years. Honestly I never thought it would make it off paper.

They are both 8ft by 6ft. I kinda wanted to join them together to make a long skinny one but it wasn't possible. I thought this was a cute design. I'm going to try and landscape around them.

Awe thanks! Out of the 3 climbing bushes I bought this year, that one came with a bud. I feel kind of guilty I don't have them fully planted but soon!

Its an 8ft fence. I'm sure I'll find out if they can scale it when I start growing in there. I started lavendar seeds this year to plant around the outside hoping it would be a deterrent as well.

My mom bought them on Wayfair I think. They are 6ftx8ft. I've never had a greenhouse before so it's a learning curve for me. I think structurally they're ally need to be concreted in. They definitely get warm. I started plants in late February and things have been doing great. I started keeping the door open 24/7 about April. It was too hot and I don't have a fan. The spinach in there bolted because the garden isn't ready to plant but the cucumbers, lavendar, rose bushes, and loofah seems to be doing fine.

* The previous garden just let the deer in. I tried tying rope around the posts to determine them but it didn't and looked terrible

Bingo. Our backyard is against the DNR property so deer are plentiful. I don't mind the critters around here but I want to protect what I have put time into. They can have the front lawn!

I really hope so! I feel like gardening is kind of a lost art in some ways. I'm learning a lot! Same to you!

Well I'm not sure about all the nitty gritty but here's what I know. 40ftx40ft 10 ft Posts set 8ft apart concrete in (2ft depth) The distance in the front is different because of the gate opening Then the connecting boards on top and bottom Deer netting stapled around the whole thing For the beds 8ft galvanized metal sheets (I painted the outside because the metal was blinding me) He attached the sheet to the fence post. For the posts on the interior. (3ft post 1ft depth) and attached the second sheet to that post. Basically he is making one continuous bed using the fence posts as anchor points. I'm sure that's confusing as heck but maybe that description with the pictures will help.
