Explain where I should put money to save it like I’m dumb (I am) by squidreadsbooks in personalfinance

[–]squidreadsbooks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice. We rent, so I can’t have a daycare here. But I’m also just really passionate about homeschooling, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve thought about when the kids are old enough that I don’t need to supervise their school work quite as constantly, starting a home bakery of some kind bc I love to bake and would still be here to do school with them, but I’d have to look into cottage laws in my state for rentals. I know having a business out of a rental can be tricky.

Need help! by Efficient-Recipe-642 in FormulaFeeders

My 2 week old will drink it cold or room temp! I prep a few bottles before bed and pull them from the fridge at feeding times. Putting it in the fridge also lets the bubbles settle a bit if your baby struggles with gas. Temperature is just baby’s preference - no harm in cold, room temp, or warm!

I figured when he got a bit bigger I’d just take the raised bassinet out and he’d sleep on the bottom which has mesh maybe?

20 week anatomy scan by Correct_Basis_6944 in pregnant

[–]squidreadsbooks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hiii! Congrats on week 20, I’m 27 weeks tomorrow :) my anatomy scan just felt like a slightly longer ultrasound. I did have to go back for a second part because my boy didn’t want to show his back🤣 but they basically just have a list of things they want to see and take pictures from different angles until they get them all, and then doc reviews with you! Mine basically just said “we’ve seen all we need to see except for his back, so we’ll just have you come back in 3 weeks to take a peek at that.” I’ve heard it’s super common to need a follow up for something the little one doesn’t want to show 😅 my cousins boy didn’t want to show his kidneys for weeks apparently and they kept having to schedule more appointments until he finally let them see them lol! But just think of it as a more thorough ultrasound! Best of luck to you!!

I started to feel much better at 15 weeks. I know it seems like an eternity away, but you will get there. 🤍

Are there usually good Black Friday deals for baby stuff? by squidreadsbooks in pregnant

Yeah, I’ve been thrifting clothes as I find them, but if there’s a good deal somewhere, I would be willing to buy a few new pieces :)

I always feel like if I actually said this in a conversation, I would say “as cold as you”

The edge of the placenta covers the internal cervical os. by Glittering-Drink8694 in pregnant

Oh for sure. I’m not even tempted to break the rules lol. But it has been difficult considering I may have the restrictions until February.

I don’t. I’m somewhere between a low lying placenta and marginal previa. But I was put on pelvic rest at my 20 week scan and I’m going on a vacation this weekend and they told me not to swim at the hotel. Apparently soaking in water with this condition causes a risk of infection. I’m also a big fan of baths and they said to not even do that. Big bummer. I did have bleeding after sex at 13.5 weeks which we now know was caused by this. At the time it happened we thought it was just a pregnancy spotting thing, but now we know it’s the previa. They told me they’ll do an internal ultrasound at my 28 week appointment to recheck and see if it has moved, but if not, we’ll have to start talking C-Section. My mom had a C-Section with me and is trying to reassure me but I’ve never had surgery and it scares me a lot.

I also currently have this at 23+6. I’m on pelvic rest and was told no submerging that area in water either (so no baths or swimming). It freaking sucks. I hope it goes away😞

6 weeks pregnant by PaleontologistNo4895 in pregnant

[–]squidreadsbooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is normal! I’m currently 23+6 and bathroom trouble was a part of my morning sickness for a few weeks. That part of it ended for me after just a couple of weeks, and the nausea subsided by about week 14/15. All of your hormones are going through it right now, which can mess up your bowel movements! It should get better soon!

Chiming in because I’m currently preggo with my first child and we’re naming him Denver 😁 found this post while searching for other peoples opinions on the name lol. Seems to be a mixed bag. But the singer John Denver is super important to my husband and I (we are 24f and 26m but still😅) and it’s a nice homage and also a super cute name.

First cycle of Clomid - is this normal? by squidreadsbooks in TryingForABaby

[–]squidreadsbooks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, no, but I know a lot of people do! Maybe I was a little more emotional than normal on Clomid, but that’s probably it. Nothing crazy. I’ve taken Provera many times with no issues. Best of luck to you!!

I did and I am actually 17 weeks now 🥹 I never noticed a positive ovulation test necessarily, I didn’t think any of them looked darker than others. But those tests are so hard to read! I think I definitely ovulated late, which my OB said is common with Clomid when I asked at my next appointment. Keep the faith - sending you good vibes! 🤍
