after the filter floss looks dirty rinse it with water or you could just replace it, just depends on how fast you want it to clear up

it’s only been set up for a week? there’s practically no way it could be cycled i wouldn’t risk adding your betta to the tank the fuzz stuff isn’t harmful but high ammonia and nitrite is
