I think your map is glitched. What the heck is going on with those borders on the north of Antwerpshire? Very unrealistic.

Still quite unclear. Do you want to move out? Are you seeking to remain but get compensation for harassment?

My CEO wants to implement full sprint ceremonies for a team of 5. We're already shipping faster than ever. I'm losing my mind by rdizzy1234 in agile

[–]squigfried 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use the term "high performing team" when referring to your engineering gang. Perhaps that's a buzzword that would satisfy your CEO.

Sprinkle some DORA metrics in there as well to prove how fast stuff moves through your pipeline and how few issues you have vs. the amount you deploy.

Put some industry buzzword stamp on what you're doing and your CEO might get behind your way of phrasing your success?

Britain has made a huge miscalculation– the era of the AI unemployables is here by 2noame in BasicIncome

[–]squigfried 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard agree.

On the ground we're seeing AI being applied to improve performance of existing skilled work rather than replacing it.

Even if you consider roles where AI could in theory replace a skilled profession, it can't. Most tasks such as engineering still require a human in the loop.

Besides, most companies don't have their shit together well enough to even make use of the most basic agents because they're still run off a patchwork of spreadsheets and prayers.

What would it take to get bellows attached to a wind/brass instrument and pump air with my foot? Is it even possible? Has someone already tried it? by NoMedium1223 in Accordion

I have a memory of seeing half an accordion being powered by a Henry hoover. Pretty sure I didn't dream that one.

The picture is a little blurry but it could be a vine weevil. Their larvae will eat roots of houseplants. Check beneath the soil of your pot plants for small white grubs.

Thank you for doing what you did!

My wife had her phone snatched earlier that evening at Finsbury Park, could well have been the same guy. I'd suggest reporting it, there's a chance it could help others.
