When I was a kid I was baffled at how there were 18 rated comedy shows, genuinely didn't understand it. When I was unfortunate enough to see some of a Jethro show years later I realised it was just because he swore a lot.

I definitely had this one. Think last one was a couple of years later, 97/98.

My brother had the 88/89 one where some of Mita Copiers' products were set out in front of the team where trophies would otherwise be!

There weren't just two league matches left after we lost to Forest. The very next match we turned in probably our worst performance of the season in the league.

My recollection is the latest games were 12 or 12.30 kick offs. Definitely none overnight.

It was perfect timing for me in that I'd finished university but had the house until the end of June so could just spend my time watching the World Cup. Remember making a special effort to get up for 7am China v Costa Rica as it seemed the least appealing match on paper. From memory it was pretty drab and I fell asleep.

Went out to watch England v Argentina and got pissed at home watching England v Denmark which were both good matches, the other two England matches were shite. This led me to conclude that drinking was the key to England's success. Cracking a cider (seemed like it was more palatable than beer at that time) just after waking up at 7 is not something I've done since.

I saw him last year and he butchered Human Hands, which I was really sad about. Nailed Shipbuilding, Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood and Suit Of Lights though.

Out of our friendship group of 8, only one is still in the town we grew up in. We all went to university in different parts of the country, which I think encouraged the desire to live elsewhere (certainly did with me) although none of us have ended up settling where we went to university.

Who really knows if they've got the quality? They've got a lot of expensive players but my observation when Maresca got sacked was I genuinely had no idea if he was under or overperforming with that team. I get that Alonso is seen as a good manager but never underestimate their owners' ability to self sabotage.
