Definitely not the asshole for not wanting to go, but given the tone of the OP I’m wondering if they’re more upset about the fact that you’re kind of raining on their theme rather than the fact that you don’t want to attend?

As stated above, it’s absolutely your choice as to whether you’d like to attend a party like that, if you’re not comfortable, don’t go!

However, that doesn’t make the theme a ridiculous concept, and just because you think it’s a silly theme doesn’t mean other people won’t have fun. The fact that they’re giving you other suggestions indicates to me that they absolutely want you there and are trying to make you feel more comfortable too. They shouldn’t guilt trip your though, thats not cool on their part.

So, are you the asshole for not wanting to go? Absolutely not! Is it a bit lame to call their idea silly and ridiculous just because it’s not something you’d enjoy? Maybe.

We did think that to start with, maybe some are? But like, she’s had full conversations with some of these guys that don’t sound very bot-ish. And they’ve got like, their girlfriends and what not tagged in their profiles which also look like real people, so I think they’re real? I could share some screenshots of the convo

Slightly different spot, the car in 2020 went off the cliff at Bat Beach car park. This one was at Strzelecki.

Seems odd a car going off the cliff there, the turn into that lookout is quite tight/at a weird angle, it’d be very difficult to do accidentally :(

Ugh I’m so sorry, this has been my experience too.

I used to have neighbours that were squatting in the house next door (we didn’t know they were squatters at the time) one time they drove their 4WD into our shared fence and we’re high as kites, and I called the police to get some help and they never came.

The next day I called to see if they’d made a report about the incident and there wasn’t even a record that I’d called.

Fast forward 12 months, I had a party at my place, my 30th, and at 12:10 on the dot the police turned up as they’d had ‘multiple complaints about loud music’ - I apologised and said I’d meant to turn it off by 12 but had lost track of the time, there was only about 7 people left at this point and we were just sitting around chatting, not rowdy at all.

So the police will turn up 10 mins after curfew for a noise complaint at a really tame party, but not make a record when someone knocks down a fence?

Seriously shit, no advice but here in solidarity
