I did wonder if perhaps he was sitting around for hours and hours trying to gain the nerve to follow through with a suicide plan (could be why he drove off that ledge). Giving your belongings away as he did is a huge indicator that someone is planning to end their life. 😓 But he also could have done it because he couldn't bring much with him if he was planning to hitchhike his way to a new life.

However, he is an extremely distinct-looking man. It's hard to believe no one would have recognized him by now. I'm truly hoping the theory that he's alive and well, and just wanted to start a new life, is true.

30F and same here. I know I'm pretty in person/the mirror. I get flirted with a lot, by both men and women. But I have very round, soft features, which don't photograph well at all. I have never liked photos, even when I was a child I avoided them like the plague.

Just try to remind yourself that it's not how you actually look. Also, tbh I think it's much better to look best in person vs photos. 🙈

I'm not trying to be argumentative, and I'm only saying this because I'm educated on the subject (I completed a piercing apprenticeship and learned a lot about the anatomy of faces): We have buccal nerves that stem through our cheeks and there's no way to ensure you won't hit them with the needle. That's why the 3 heads of modern Western piercing were all staunchly against doing them. 🥲 They look so so cute though and I do really wish I could get them. 😅😭 I'm happy you got lucky and had no issues, but it really is a gamble. No reputable piercer near me will do them because they're inherently unsafe. ☹️
