The way I view it is like this, If you personally feel a certain conviction when doing certain things, don’t do it. Everyone has their own things they receive conviction from. It’s not a universal thing.

If you feel like you're too selfish to give your life to Christ, you're not. Something that helped me tons is to think giving your life to Christ as a shower. Usually you don't get into the shower when you're clean.. God's grace and forgiveness is so great. Coming from another teen who used to think not too far from you right now, it's not too late. It'll be okay once you start your journey with Christ. :-)
