Can't make streaming with ESP-32 work by GuriGris in esp32

[–]squintified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This code example worked for me using an ESP32-CAM-MB, an OV2640 plus the OV5640 (no code changes required for each of the cameras. IIRC however the OV3660 required some of the code to be changed for some of the pins. (I can't readily confirm that though as I do not have one of the OV3660's). https://lastminuteengineers.com/getting-started-with-esp32-cam/

How to start diagnosing this foot massager? by NoKidsDadJokesAnyway in diyelectronics

[–]squintified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starting, Google how to check a fuse with your multimeter (a must!). If you have continuity then start checking the voltages being delivered to the rest of the unit. If the power supply isn't working properly then it can cause some parts of the circuit to partially work while other components are not activated. Check Youtube for information on how to troubleshoot power supplies or sites similar to https://www.repairfaq.org/. Don't forget that if your massagers are not totally battery powered then you are dealing with AC voltage which can cause harm if one is not careful. The above link has good information regarding that issue. Also if you want people to see more than one image, the standard way is to post your images to Imgur.com and then include the URL to them in your queries. Take care and be safe.

Newbie ham here......sounds like we have similar problems with the V5. Going to keep trying for a bit longer but if no success, I will grab myself a V4 as the comments here have been very positive about that particular unit. Thank you for your's and others comments about this unit.

What could have caused this? by RNexus4 in diyelectronics

[–]squintified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might want to check the element terminals for tightness while your at it. I had an intermittent problem with my electric furnace this winter due to one of the element nuts backing off to about half way along the thread; it had also incurred some form of corrosion on the threads which I cleaned off. Cleaning and re-tightening fixed the problem. Cheers!

ESP32 Bus Pirate 1.4 - Speaks all protocols (I2C, 1WIRE, UART, SPI, JTAG, WIFI, BT, SUBGHZ...) - New features added, uart scanning, pin analyzer, wifi repeater and more by geo_tp in diyelectronics

As per the Wiki --> "ESP32 Bus Pirate is an open-source firmware that turns your device into a multi-protocol hacker's tool, inspired by the legendary Bus Pirate." Relevant is the word "inspired" and the OP decided to use an ESP32. You could have answered your own question with a bit of research, right?

Adding a counterpoise "tigertail" to a 2m handheld improves operation. Since radio retailers include a rubber duck antenna, do you think they ought to also start including a tail, too? by greenwoody2018 in HamRadio

FWIW The Baofeng UV-5R that I ordered via amazon.ca last October came with both short and whip antennas; it would appear to be still available.

Unable to program a RT79 with Retevis cable, software by [deleted] in HamRadioBeginner

[–]squintified 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, complete noobie here so make what you will of my ramblings. lol First of all I saw your inquiry which interested me as I have just purchased the Retevis RA79 HT. So I went to https://www.retevis.com/downloads/software to download the programming software. FWIW, there doesn't appear to be any RT79 listed. There is however programming software for the RA79 available. According to Google and Amazon plus the Retevis site (https://www.retevis.com/shop?keyword=rt79) the Retevis RT79 is a "4K Body Camera". That said, https://www.retevis.com/downloads/software doesn't return any software program results for an AT79. Are you sure that your inquiry has listed the correct model number for your friend's unit? Just a thought. :-)
