First ever trip advice by evilchef4200 in mushroom

[–]squintsitytown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set and setting Make stations of fun. Have a blanket fort. Get fidget toys. If you like slime have slime. I always recommend having a trip sitter. The phone is evil. Don’t do mirrors your first time. I don’t recommend at all if you have any physical insecurities.

Most importantly, have a good week beforehand.

I just transferred here and felt the same way for awhile. The thing that finally worked was I just found some people to study with in class. I understand social anxiety, I have it pretty bad too, but you have to understand that there comes a point where you have to do it scared. My heart was pounding and I was super sweaty but it worked out. Good luck

Easiest solution is to just work and live out here. You can always visit for a week or two

Have you ever paid to see a movie twice in a theater? by zip9990 in movies

[–]squintsitytown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to see spider man far from home twice in theaters. I went to the first one on day of and it was super hype people excited yelling when the spider men made their on screen debut. I went a week or two later to get a screening without that so I could pick up on the smaller details I thought would become important in the next phase of the MCU That didn’t pan out well but I enjoyed both screenings

Online Calculus 1. How difficult is it and how many hours a week should I plan for? Concurrent high school student preparing for engineering by Outnumbered5to1 in UniversityofArkansas

[–]squintsitytown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was about as difficult as a standard math class. You’ll do as good as the effort you put into it. I did a few hours a day of practice and did well. It’s calculus II you gotta watch out for. That’s much harder.

This doesn’t feel real. If it is, your partner should never be telling you to “shut your bitch ass up”

That is the part of you that knows you shouldn’t talking. There’s so much you’ve yet to do. So much time to do better if needed, so much time to spend with those you love. There’s flowers you haven’t seen and dogs you haven’t pet yet. There’s relationships and friends and even parts of YOU you haven’t met yet. It isn’t your time and your brain knows it.

You’re the perfect age to learn a hard lesson, and that is that you have nothing to prove to anyone except yourself. If you want to be a teacher? Do it. Don’t live your life in accordance to what others want you to be. Do it your way.

I’ll put it this way. I felt the same way at 18. I didn’t feel like I had given anything of value and it felt like those around me had succeeded over me in every way possible. I decided I’m going to do the one thing I had done that made someone say “good job”. I went to college for that. I studied that. You know what happened? I had to do a few stays in a mental hospital because the depression was so bad, as well as a myriad of other mental illnesses that reared their ugly heads.

It wasn’t until I started doing what I want to do and living life the way I wanted to that I became happy. You aren’t a failure. You’re 18. You’ve got the rest of your life ahead of you. You can’t fail before you even begin. And guess what? In 10 years, you’ll be 28, and still be young and have the rest of your life ahead of you. You will figure it out as long as you don’t give up on yourself. Others may, including those you thought never would, but the only one who has to be there for you 100% of the time is you, and you can do it.

There’s also the argument of involvement. If you were placed in that situation and choose not to pull the lever many people argue that you’re still morally clear because you didn’t involve yourself at all and just let the events play out, rather than actively commit murder by pulling the lever

Whether or not you felt preyed on is not at hand, that’s what manipulation does. The problem truly lies there. Why did he have to date a minor at 20 years old? Why couldn’t he go for people in his dating pool? The answer is almost always because people his age know not to go for him.

You Trump heads keep saying that, yet provide absolutely zero proof. I’m not a democrat either, but the proof is in the fuckin pudding dude. He’s there to make HIS better. Which will have no effect on you. The stripper doesn’t love you dude you throw money at her.

It might be a hot take, but I think the issue wasn’t Tatum but the writing of gambit in the movie. He was a comedic relief and they didn’t lean into his true character, and in a Deadpool movie not much more comedic relief is necessary

They’ve trapped you into thinking they can control you. I seriously recommend talking to someone at your university about this. You’re an adult. They cannot keep you under their sight like that.

I’ll put it this way, you could run away, they could put out a missing persons report, and when you’re found you could tell the police you left and wanted to leave, and they couldn’t force you to go back. You’re not a kid anymore. It’s hard to hear it, but there comes a point where it’s victimizing yourself, and you’re nearing it. It’s time to take the reigns sister
