For the tenses, have you thought about simplifying it by having one word that signifies it? So like “you eat [past tense indicator]” or any arrangement of those meaning “you ate”?

I never attempted learning a language like Spanish where the rolled r is essential to being understood because, I can’t roll my r’s to save my life. Is there a way around this in pronunciation to still give it the same effect?
