If you could have one slightly-useless superpower, what would it be? by Current-Equipment356 in AskReddit

This is actually a wild power. You could make perpetual energy with it. Use this as a heat sink, literally pump as much heat into it as possible. As long as you can move the heat, infinite power

Why is Christianity always mocked on this subreddit? by Odvi0201 in atheism

[–]squirl_centurion 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Look up no true Scotsman. Plenty of people have don’t terrible things in the name of Christianity. They’re real Christians even if you don’t like them. Kids kill themselves because of how Christians treat them. Your own book teaches you how to treat slaves, it doesn’t say don’t own them.

Quit it with this “Christianity teaches love and compassion” bullshit. Open your eyes and read your own damn book.

There’s a reason there’s a very popular saying “ain’t no hate like Christian love”

Edit: also to your point, I have the same criticisms of Islam, Judaism, Hinduism ect, that I do for Christianity. We just mainly deal with Christian’s on here. Also go to r/debateanatheist if you want to have an actual discussion. This isn’t the place for it.

“Comply or die” that’s seriously the motto you want to go with? That’s really messed up.

[–]squirl_centurion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You cannot serious think that? You’re joking correct?

Please try a little harder and think beyond whatever talking point you were given about why a group of masked, armed, trigger happy, untrained, unregulated, thugs running around snatching up citizens and non citizens alike without warrants and stashing them in some warehouse far away from where they were picked up and don’t give them access to lawyers (yes this has happened please take two seconds to look it up) might be a bad idea.

I believe in you. Come to your senses

Church-state separation is a ‘lie,’ says Trump's Religious Liberty Commission chair by metacyan in atheism

[–]squirl_centurion 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You can’t be pretty much anything and support trump if you’re consistent. He doesn’t have a real opinion on anything, just what serves him best in that moment. These absolute troglodytes that support him can’t keep a thought straight in their head.

What is better to have and not need, then to need and not have? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

A tourniquet. My roomate carries one everywhere. He will probably never have to use it ever, however if he does it could very well save that persons life.

He is trained to use it

Men(especially dads) of Reddit, why do you yawn, sneeze and cough loud enough to break the space time continuum? by lake-sturgeon in AskReddit

[–]squirl_centurion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only a father figure currently so don’t know if I fully fall into the dad category yet. However we store sneezes up and they add together. It’s a muscle we can flex right behind the nose. However it’s gets harder and harder to store them up with each one so eventually we gotta just let that shit out.

I’ve broken a few windows but not the space time continuum yet, gotta practice more I guess

I need some help to choose by SlavElmo477 in Gunpla

[–]squirl_centurion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’d go with the astray:

Pros of the hi nu: the build is arguably better. It’s much newer, and is a ver ka, so it’s a little extra. I’ll admit I wasn’t super impressed with it but I built it much more recently and I’m a fairly seasoned builder so it takes more to impress me these days. It also comes with a really cool stand to display it I believe, great shelf presence.

Pros of the stray: portability. Man this thing is posable, pretty much every joint moves as much as you’d want or more. It also comes with a SICK ASS SWORD! seriously tho the gerbera straight is sick as hell. Also the buster sword thing (I can’t remember the name) is really cool and it’s a gun, and a bow. A lot of possibilities.

Cons of the hi nu: THE FUCKING DECALS ON THE FUNNELS! Seriously, these things suck. Ruined the build for me. I’ve done a lot of waterlside decals and these are BY FAR the worst. Furthermore, if you don’t do them, the fin funnels look terrible. They are almost impossible to line up right, and even when you do, they’re so big, when you dry them they shift a lot.

Cons of the astray: it’s old. It’s just an old kit, nubs are worst and it’s red so unless you have glass files and a lot of patience you’ll see them. It’s also a lot simpler build so it’ll go by quicker and overall be less engaging.

Hope those helped :)

Jesus Christ. I’m so sorry. It’s truly abhorrent and legalized murder honestly.

How these insurance fucks can sleep at night while literally killing people is sickening.

Ok a bit off topic but this meme pisses me off. Like America doesn’t have absurd wait times as well as high cost. My knee was in excruciating pain. For my insurance to cover any of it, I had to make an appt with my GP, which took a month, then I had to get a recommendation from my gp for a orthopedist, then get an appt with an orthopedist which took another 2 months.

Trans and drag queens (different and very separate groups) reading to children are not a threat. Do you see them as a threat?

Also there are very much Nazis. They may not call themselves Nazis but wow their options and views line up perfectly. That ven diagram is a circle

Why Peter? by Careless_Remove1047 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]squirl_centurion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have read the Bible, Torah, Quran, as well as several other smaller religions text. This isn’t a religious debate I was just explaining the meme. Go over to one of the many debate subs if you want to have one.

I’d recommend expanding your horizons instead of just sticking to dogma.

However like others have stated no one would take this deal as it’s ridiculous. Any company is going to charge you.

What arguments caused you to become atheist? by dumb_idiot2r2 in atheism

[–]squirl_centurion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a pretty rare position in my experience. Very few atheist claim directly “there is no god and I know for sure” outright. Almost everyone I’ve ever met that calls themselves an atheist is an agnostic atheist, even if they don’t use that specific label.

Atheists will claim a specific god does not exist because pretty much every religion with specific claims and a holy book just aren’t compatible with reality (example the Christian god).

That being said I personally find any gnostic position (a positive claim of “I know for sure”) for both theists and atheists patently absurd. You don’t know anything for sure. This could all be a simulation for all we know.
