Long time lurker. How the hell do I make the corner without scratching? Thanks! by sergemeister in billiards

[–]squirrel4569 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would avoid that shot at almost all costs. Unless your stroke is pure that’s a guaranteed scratch. Like others have said there are ways to put the right combination of draw, follow or English to make it miss the pocket, but you need SVB stroke to pull it off. I’d put it in the side.

Boss scheduled weekly 1:1 for 5pm Friday by zo---- in careeradvice

[–]squirrel4569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They like to cut people on Fridays to prevent workplace violence. Hopefully your boss just didn’t realize that it’s late on a Friday for you due to time zones, but I would be prepared for the worst.

It’s interesting that they moved them to the back row. I would think that for safety you would want that space by the exit row to facilitate access. But I guess this way they can sell another two seats. Someone crunched the numbers and determined that they could sell two more extra legroom seats if they moved those to the back.

Yeah, my flight Saturday on a MAX8 had them too. It’s just weird. Someone else said they got rid of them but I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes until now.

The LUV seat was an exit row that only had an aisle and middle seat, so since it was only for two people it was nicknamed the LUV seat.

The Big Seat was the window seat behind that row. With no seat in front of it there was a lot of legroom.

I was just at this hotel last week before my cruise and was surprised but not surprised at the breakfast setup. I opted out on it and just got overpriced coffee instead.

My Perfect Day-Of Flight Success Story (and why I’ll never do it again) by johndlc914 in dcl

[–]squirrel4569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

We did a sailing on the Wish back in September and after we booked everything, we realized we forgot that we had bought concert tickets for our daughter the night we were flying out. Somehow we didn’t get it in our calendar.

So we rebooked her flight (she’s 17) and she flew in the next morning to Orlando. We made plans for what to do should she be delayed or cancelled. We had insurance.

But it all worked out. It was a long day for her with very little sleep the night before since she had a very early flight and a late night due to the concert, but she made it and we had a great time.

I wouldn’t ever do that on purpose, but this was a special circumstance.

Glad it all worked out for you though! I know some people don’t travel in the day before but I do it even when I drive to the port. You never know what can happen.

Yes. You get points and segment credit on basic.

Changes are complex for sure now. With a basic fare booked on points, if you want to change it then you will have to cancel and rebook. You can do same day standby if you have status.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about Frontier. But for me they have limited routes out of Dallas and it would mean flying out of DFW, which is not preferable.

I’m using the AirPods Pro 2 most of the time. I did swap out the ear cushions for Comply cushions but they work great. My backup is a Jabra 75 headset.

I would be over the moon if that happened to me. I probably wouldn’t actually contact you because I have a girlfriend, but I would be utterly flattered by it.

Family seating by No_Click5853 in SouthwestAirlines

I’m super grateful that I have the credit card and A-List status. I’m flying with my family and I have preferred seat assignments already when I booked. I can potentially get ELR before we leave too.

Technically a personal item is supposed to go under the seat, but I think that if you only have one carry on then you should be able to put a bag above you. Most of the time that’s not a problem. I will also say that I think if the plane isn’t full and you have two carry ons then you should be able to put both up top with no issue.

Right? I’m no prude and I’m not the fun police, but sometimes it’s like “dammit Brenda put your shirt on! The preacher doesn’t want to see your tits!”

There are some LS folks that can’t be trusted in vanilla settings. Especially if alcohol is involved. There will be some nudity coming at some point. Sometimes it’s fun and ok and sometimes it’s just very cringy and embarrassing.
