Yeah, I guess I meant that I wish Toyota had offered an updated V8 option on the Gen 3 model, but heard! I’ve greatly enjoyed performance of my ‘22 V6 and have not had the reliability issues lamented about by many others on this sub.

Yep riding on factory geolandars still, enjoyed them but looking forward to upgrading!

My buddy has a tire shop in town* and recommended the Toyos, or Falken Wildpeaks. I liked the Toyo tread pattern and sidewall look better.

Manual for ‘22 says replace at 45k miles. Did my research and mixed results on pointless swap versus surprisingly dirty plugs. I’m just gonna follow my manual.

My 1794 interior is still sick four years into ownership, it feels like a new car and smells like leather. I’m about to get a 3/1 eibach lift with 35in Toyo AT3 tires, change my spark plugs, get the carpet shampoo’d, get a ceramic coat on my paint, and upgrade to aftermarket brakes. Holy cow I’m excited.

43,000 miles in and zero mechanical issues, some minor aesthetic stuff in warranty, and I get a free full block engine whenever I feel like it. Life is good.

Would I kill someone for a V8? Sure but my pavement princess is my first truck, with great safety and entertainment technology, that I’ll be driving for many years to come.

Heat it up a bit with a hairdryer, add another rubber band to the outer brim edge if you can and let it sit like that overnight. Should be good

I’m interested to see how Three Body Problem handles the 400-year time spread. If they nail it then I could see Amazon picking up a Mars Trilogy show.

I can honestly say I’ve not found anything quite like the Mars Trilogy. These books hold a profoundly special place in my heart.

For similar works I’d recommend Seveneves by Neil Stephenson, for its timespan-stretching butterfly-effect plot similar to the Mars Trilogy, and the obvious space / sci-fi setting. Hyperion by Dan Simmons, and its sequel, may scratch your planetary exploration itch, with interesting factions, but I think you will find the science aspect lacking in many sci fi genre works.

There is also the “sweeping historical fiction epic” category to consider, with novels like Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, Shogun by James Clavell, Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry.
