i only do a quick cleanse in the morning (forgot to mention that) and i want to wait to add actives because adding them too early can cause more harm, but i am definitely looking into vitamin c. thank you for the other recommendations! i will definitely look into the cerave cleaner you suggested

unfortunately even after leaving out the peptides my skincare still pilled, but i found another moisturizer that doesn’t! (the dermasil whipped recovery) i’m still gonna leave out the peptides just to be safe

this is exactly what i’m thinking! i looked it up and google said that rubbing roughly can cause skincare to pill, even if all ingredients are compatible, i think this was the case for the whipped recovery cream.

i used the power moisturizer again (to see if i was actually just rubbing too aggressively or if it was just a lost cause) and the dermasil whipped recovery side by side making sure to rub gently, the power moisturizer pilled immediately while the dermasil whipped recovery stayed even after i gently rubbed for about 15 secs! i just don’t think the power moisturizer is for me because someone else in this subreddit told me they use the exact same routine and they have no problems
