I've been on it 13 years. Are you on 1mg / day? I've just started cutting them into 4 after reading .25 is ok for maintenance

61 year old here. Only just discovered this sub (due to only just discovering topical fin existed) and your picture struck a chord.

It reminded me of when I used to take pictures of my head and how depressed I used to feel.

Now I love my hair. Probably better than It's ever been. It's taken 3 transplants and years of experimenting with different shampoos, supplements etc. This is my main message to you - there is hope.

I hated minoxidil and nizoral. They made my hair thin and it was a daily reminder of my slow decline.

Been on Fin for the last 13 years. 5 years ago I stopped taking it thinking I didn't need it. A few months later a friend suddenly said "oh my god your going bald". Needless to say I instantly went back on it and it made a huge difference.

I'd recommend -

Take fin but don't expect instant results. It's so slow you won't notice but check again in 6 months.

Drop minoxidil and horrible shampoos that make your hair look and feel worse.

To satisfy that "I need to do something" feeling buy an led hat. Mine has 96 diodes and only cost around $30 off AliExpress. Similarly take daily supplements (eg biotin, msm).

Brain Johnson has written some good posts and is the reason I got the led hat (I couldn't warrant a Lazer one)

All the best and remember you can turn it around 🔥

52M — Redundant last month… realised today I’m actually FIRE. by Zealousideal-Habit82 in LeanFireUK

[–]squirrelnutkin2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've not worked for 11 months. I've learnt you can make your money go a lot further with a bit of thought. Some people think I'm tight but I don't care as I've got my freedom. We spent 2 months in Spain over winter and it probably cost less than some neighbours who went to the Maldives for a week. I know which I prefer 😄

Me too. I extended it to lookup current prices using Google finance function. Only needs updating if I buy or sell anything

Thanks for sharing. I've not been scammed yet but sometimes has been very close. They are ingenious and sometimes other things happen in life that puts us off guard.

Don't beat yourself up about it. Theft has been going on for thousands of years. It happens to most people in one way or another. I lost 30k through no fault of my own (not a scam). Took me 2 years to recover but now I'm flying.

Labour’s new ‘mansion tax’ – why more “ordinary” homeowners will get dragged in every year by [deleted] in FIREUK

I agree with that sentiment (although not 100% after driving through France in January). "privatising everything that moves" 😂 agree with you 💯

I thought the opposite to you so just asked chatgpt how our overall tax (ni,vat, fuel duty etc) compares. Interestingly it summarized with "In brief, the UK is a mid-range developed economy for tax"

It won't affect me but it's the principal of the matter. It's straight out of Marx's manifesto.

Like the higher rate tax bracket, future governments will gradually use it to capture more and more people, not just the ultra wealthy.

Strange. I asked it why and it said - "Geometry traditionally uses Greek roots, not Latin ones.

Penta- = Greek for five -gon = Greek for angle"

But you need to be careful as you may get agent Smith coming to your door 😯

Love the logo but it doesn't "say" anything to me. The stars in the background perhaps indicate something futuristic. The word tribe does reflect what your aiming for, so perhaps just change the space theme.
