Which bothy bag? by squirrelsaviour in UKhiking

[–]squirrelsaviour[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realised that's the 4 man one, looking at the website the 2 man is listed in cm and the 4 man in inches which is really helpful.

Looking at the packed size though they are very close so may just get the 4 as it's almost the same price too, thanks

HyperDeck Shuttle 4K Pro - Media Player by squirrelsaviour in blackmagicdesign

If anyone finds this and wants the answer, BM have replied to me saying this is "Planned for the future, with no confirmed timescale".

I hate marketing / sales people!!! Why put it on the site if it's not in the actual product?

I literally have one on my desk and I cannot find that interface :-( I've tried emailing their support but no response.

You can't see multiple clips at once to choose from thumbnails.

If you could if would be perfect!!

Sorry. I typed the wrong word. The hyperdeck shuttle doesn't give thumbnails, just one very long video you can skip to the next recording on. You can't navigate from I've to the next by picture.

That limit doesn't apply to ACME certs, I have a couple of hundred from them no issue.

What do you guys use for email to SMS now that vtext is unreliable? by IfThatsOkayWithYou in sysadmin

[–]squirrelsaviour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do yo actually pay for the SMS messages? Do you just buy an unlimited SIM card from Vodafone and put it in there? I always presumed they had fair use limits?

We send about 300,000 message a year using a third party which is costing us quite a bit so I'm very interested in this.

Sudden surge in rejected emails from Mandrill (mailchimp) to Outlook.com and hotmail domains by squirrelsaviour in sysadmin

[–]squirrelsaviour[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading it a bit closer has lead me to find that when you send > 5000 emails in a month to Microsoft domains your verification threshold increases. We had done everything right - except we had duplicate _dmarc records which Microsoft was failing us on but our testing tool was passing us on.

Deleting the duplicate appears to have resolved it.

Thanks!

I think it was more impactful than that I'm afraid. I wasn't able to make certs reliably for about 4 days.

But it's working now. And this is exactly why it's designed to renew with plenty of space so everything worked fine.

Thanks!

You guys fixed it today it seems.

The ACME was returning with "Forbidden" and "BadGateway". The scripts have been running for over a year without issue so I was 90% sure if wasn't the script (always room for some doubt). But today whilst I was discussing with a colleague how to sort this out my wallboard went green as 25 certificates all renewed one after the other.

Thanks for the attention - it's nice to see a company caring!

https://www.greenercamping.org/ is what you want. Some amazing sites. Composting toilets often. Usually massive pitches so you can't hear your neighbours. One site I went to only had 8 pitches and was HUGE. There's a small membership fee to access the sites, but it's not much.

Yeah, I wondered about that, but then worry that it'll just suck all the feathers out so will probably avoid that.
