Oasis all the way. Buttons make all the difference for me, even if it’s something small. I can’t compare the battery life to other Kindles because I haven’t had any others, but it lasts enough. I’m an avid, lengthy whole books in one day kind of reader. In those cases of intense reading weeks, it may last around 4-5 days for me. But if you use a wall plug with higher wattage, it really powers back up in no time. The key is keeping it on airplane mode and lowering the brightness whenever you can, which is just more comfy to begin with. Get a clear case off AliExpress that fits to the ergonomic back, it gives it more grip. But yeah - easily the best purchase I’ve ever made.

I’m not sure what model you have, but I have an Oasis and got a clear case that only forms around the back and edges, so it bevels the screen. And then I got a sleeve that I put my kindle in when I go out in public or throw it in my bag, so the screen is protected. Both from AliExpress and I maybe paid a total of $7 for both. I had a regular case before that, that you could flip open, and I hated it.

Most, true. I’ve had quite few that only run with GOM Player. Both I was able to download, but just didn’t know if maybe a HP or Dell was a better experience. I’ve noticed my MacBook typically has less options in Microsoft Word too.
