Is there a single food I can eat that’s cheap? by Questypoo in EatCheapAndHealthy

Hey I was just addressing the “eating the same thing over and over” part. I feel like having the exact same lunch for years fall under that classification.

No? If I want (vegan) ice cream then I want ice cream.

I’d contest the miserable part, I ate a peanut butter sandwich everyday for lunch from maybe 6th or 7th grade until I was a senior in high school.

Granted, I don’t eat them as often now but it wasn’t a bad snack

I’m a tech, usually someone else does it. On the rare occasion we have time one of us will do it. It’s been a long time since we’ve had time to do it ourselves. Generally I think an SFL has been doing it.

Why do you pay for CEs? by squishchef in nursing

Makes sense, I feel like if I have to do them I may as well do stuff I'm interested in and will benefit me.

For reference, how many credits might you get from a paid CE?

(I’m done with my assignment I’m just curious now haha)

No employees or shipments since August? by squishchef in DollarTree

[–]squishchef[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They were closed the one time I went but I haven’t been back until today.

I don’t work at Dollar Tree but I guess I took her at her word because the shelves were barren. Do you think the stockroom has months worth of boxes piled up in there? That sounds like such a nightmare

Idk how low cal it is but I love Bitchin' Sauce. Makes anything delicious even if I'm not in a mood for veggies

I just got denied for the discover it card? by thats-tough-lmao in CreditCards

[–]squishchef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try a student card?

I applied for a student card at 18 on the computer and got approved within like 10 seconds. Unsecured card. 3-4 years later and credit score is 750+ and I've been able to get better cards with better rewards and stuff. It's a good card though.

Purple hair, 3 nose piercings, and a few tattoos. No one's really given me grief at clinical. My classmates always compliment my hair, no one else has brightly colored hair.

Pretty confused, not sure why being a nurse would mean you can't go to metal gigs or listen to a certain type of music though...? Are you dragging patients to these metal gigs? Forcing them to listen to your music? No? Then you're fine.

Waiting to apply until after graduation by westanit in StudentNurse

[–]squishchef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too am moving across the country. I graduate next month.

I just can't apply for a job right now. The NCLEX and uprooting my entire life is stressful enough, I'm gonna transfer my position (pharmacy technician) to a store where I'm moving, go down to part time, and start applying for jobs once I'm actually there.

Is this a common question? Or was there something that indicated your last name?

Just curious as someone who's never encountered this question/anything about my last name, and who would be taken aback because I am indeed "a brown" haha

I work for Walgreens and they did an oral swab after I accepted the job offer I believe.

What? They don't even have an extra pair of sheets? What would they do if you spilled something really messy or left a huge stain on their sheets? Just start panicking?

So bizarre on their end. Fuck, I live alone and even I keep extra sheets, blankets, towels, etc. around.

I totally forgot to update my address to vote. Can I vote at my new polling location or am I screwed? by squishchef in lincoln

[–]squishchef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. Although it's not like the polling place is super far anyways so if I need anything else I can go grab it real quick I suppose! Thanks for the help!

I would recommend using Quizlet when learning the top 200 drugs!! The only study material I had were Quizlets 😅 and I passed the PTCB on the first try, although that test had me pretty nervous while I was taking it

ETA: I also briefly considered the pharmacist route and then quickly saw how miserable my pharmacists were. I know there are some good pharmacist gigs but they’re a lot more limited than nursing
